In addition to the province’s historic referendum, Oct. 19 was also a byelection day for the Village of Breton.
Unofficial results indicate Rose Huebschwerlen has been elected to the vacant village councillor position with 34 votes.
The runner-up was Rhonda Lindskog with 30 votes, followed by Alan Baines with 20 and Lynn Pritchard with six votes.
A total of 90 votes were cast.
The byelection was called to fill the late Glory Tornack’s councillor position following her passing in June.
