Drayton Valley/Brazeau County Fire Services is hosting a series of open houses this month to recognize Fire Prevention Month.
The first takes place on Oct. 7 at Station 1 in Lodgepole (4615 52 Avenue).
From 6-8 p.m., community members can enjoy free hamburgers and hot dogs, a fire extinguisher demonstration, meet local firefighters and learn more about fire safety.
Activities are also planned for the kids, including a fishing game with prizes and fire truck tours.
