Brazeau County council has approved a $1,000 grant for the Eagle Point Blue Rapids Parks Council for its Forbidden Forest Pumpkin Walk.
The event takes place on Oct. 22 and features a one-kilometre trail walk to highlight fall festivities.
Taking place at the Pembina Nordic Centre, there will also be food trucks at the event and a child-friendly haunted house.
Five Dollar Celebrities will also provide musical entertainment.
Partners of the event include Brighter Futures, the Family Resource Network, the Drayton Valley Library and Frank Maddock High School.
Brazeau County council approved the grant during its regularly scheduled meeting on Sept. 15.
