June 4
2:11 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St/50 Ave – Complainant reported seeing a homeless male in a convenience store that had previously been sleeping in her apartment building’s lobby. Member attended, but the male had left. Based on descriptions, a known male was located and warned about trespassing offences.
3:01 p.m. – Parkland County – Complainant attended the detachment with a Form 8 Mental Health Act warrant for the apprehension of a family member. The female was apprehended later in the day and transported to a designated mental health facility for assessment.
4:04 p.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reported fraud and embezzlement by a business employee. Under investigation.
7:41 p.m. – Parkland County – Complainant reported a family member threw a rock at her garage. Member attended, but found the suspect had left and no apparent damage had been done. Ongoing disputes between various family members.
11:45 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported that her boyfriend was assaulted by a neighbour after confronting him about driving concerns. Under investigation.
June 5
10:51 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant attended the detachment with Family Court Orders to be served on a male residing elsewhere. Police do not normally serve such orders, but were directed to by a clause in the order. Documents served by an assisting detachment.
12:12 p.m. – Brazeau County – Poplar Ridge area – Complainant reported that while attending a business, he had an interaction with an unknown male who approached his vehicle to yell racist comments at his wife. Member was unable to locate or identify the male who appeared to be about 35-40 years old. The male had long dark brown hair and was wearing a red Billabong hoodie, mirrored sunglasses and rubber boots.
6:37 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported that a friend threatened him and forced him to sign a bill of sale for his mobile home. Under investigation.
8:37 p.m. – Brazeau County – Golf Course – Complaint received that there had been an altercation during a tournament. An intoxicated male went home but told a family member he was returning to finish things. Members located the male back at the scene of the altercation and advised him to go home or spend the night in the drunk tank. The male went home.
June 6
1:16 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported a boy was crying and knocking on a neighbour’s door. Member attended and determined the boy had been on a sleepover but went on a sleepwalking adventure. Member located the residence of the sleepover and returned the boy safely. The boy’s parents were also advised.
1:22 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop with a van seen driving without lights. A MAS (mandatory alcohol screening) demand was read to the driver who provided a sample of his breath which resulted in a “fail.” The driver was offered a second test but refused; as a result, he was issued a 90-day provincial driving suspension, and the van was impounded for 30 days.
2:03 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Ave – Two reports received that two males were fighting in the bar. Parties involved were separated. Under investigation.
1:51 p.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reported copper wire stolen from a lease site, sometime in the past month.
7:05 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Member observed a suspicious truck leaving a hotel headed south on 50 Street. Member obtained the plate number and attempted a traffic stop, but the truck fled, running the light at Highway 22 and heading toward the bridge. Based on the information obtained from the plate, members attended a residence in Breton RCMP’s area but did not locate the truck involved.
June 7
8:08 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50A St – Complainant reported a male seen on surveillance trying door handles on vehicles at a business. Member patrolled the area and located a male matching the description provided; the male denied being near the business. Member issued a warning to the male despite his denial of involvement.
June 8
3:01 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Members attended a residence to check on a male who had reported plans of self-harm to a mental health helpline. The male refused to talk to paramedics or to go to the hospital but denied plans to harm himself. The male agreed to go to bed and stop drinking.
9:52 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 St – Complainant reported his 2005 GMC pickup had been stolen from his driveway between 4-5 a.m. The truck was recovered in Whitecourt later in the day. Under investigation with potential suspects.
5:12 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Ball Diamonds by grandstands – Complainant reported a swastika symbol etched in shale by the dugouts. No suspect could be identified, and the complainant was going to rake out the image if possible.
6:20 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 621 – Complainant reported a loose cow near Range Road 83. Member located the cow but was unable to corral it and it had entered a treed property. It was later determined the cow had escaped while being unloaded. The owner was advised and is trying to retrieve the very independent bovine.
June 9
8:21 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported ongoing harassment of himself and his family by an ex-girlfriend. Under investigation.
10:11 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Landfill – Complainant reported a female within the dump for the past 45 minutes and not leaving when told to. Member attended and located the female who was scavenging. She was issued a trespass warning and removed from the area.
3:29 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 51 St – Complainant reported a male who had been previously trespassed from a business had been in the business. Member attended but the male had left. Member was able to identify and speak to the male who confirmed he had been in the store but claimed he was unaware the ban was permanent. The male agreed not to return.
June 10
2:59 a.m. – Cynthia – Complainant reported a suspicious white truck had pulled in behind the gas station with two male occupants, but neither got out. Complainant reported that the truck left and returned a couple times. Members attended and patrolled the surrounding area but did not locate the truck.
4:37 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a luggage cart had been stolen from a hotel. Under investigation.
1:13 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported that a male was consuming drugs outside a church while the market was setting up. The male reportedly left on foot down the lane. Member patrolled the area but did not locate the male.
1:49 p.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant requested advice regarding a pending separation and wanted to report historical violence and threats that occurred in the relationship. Under investigation.
2:07 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported that a female entered a store, filled a reusable bag with chocolate bars and left without paying. Under investigation.
2:32 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Third party complaint received that a female made comments indicating possible plans to harm herself. Member located the female who was not a risk to herself and ensured she had supports and counselling available.
7:01 p.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reported ongoing harassment from a relative who resides in another province due to a change in a will. Under investigation.
