As of 8 a.m. today, the fire advisory for Drayton Valley and Brazeau County has been lifted.
Town and county officials say the advisory was lifted June 10 due to improved weather conditions and recent rainfall.
Outdoor burning is permitted with a fire permit or in an approved fire pit or burning appliance.
The following fires are also permitted:
- Outdoor burning with an approved fire permit
- Indoor household fireplaces
- Farm and acreage incinerators
- Burn barrels (steel/metal drums no larger than 45 gallons on agricultural lands)
- Charcoal barbecues
- Bylaw-compliant backyard campfires
- Portable propane fire pits and appliances
- Fires contained within approved facilities and appliances in designated camping and recreational areas
