According to the latest RCMP quarterly report, the Drayton Valley Provincial Detachment saw an increase in property crime.
Between January and March this year, or Q4, 88 incidents of various property crimes were reported to the Drayton Valley Detachment, up from 53 during the same period in 2025.
Reports of property damage rose by 75 per cent in Q4 compared to last year, with 14 occurrences. Seventeen thefts under $5,000 were also reported, compared to six last year.
There were also three additional break-ins compared to 2025, bringing the total to 12, and three additional motor vehicle thefts, bringing the total to eight.
Brazeau County council received this quarterly report during its regularly scheduled meeting on June 2.
