The Town of Drayton Valley is starting to repaint road and crosswalk lines this week.
Work is expected to begin June 8, after streets are swept and cracks are sealed.
The town hopes to have 53.7 kilometres of road lines, 193 crosswalks and 315 pavement markings repainted within one week, weather dependent.
Officials say the area’s heavy oilfield traffic, equipment and winter maintenance activities can significantly shorten the lifespan of road markings.
