Brazeau County council has authorized an increase to its yearly allocation to STARS air ambulance by up to $1,200 to include the village of Breton.
The move was made following a presentation by STARS air ambulance Senior Municipal Relations Liaison Glenda Farnden last week.
Brazeau County currently allocates $2 per capita to STARS, or approximately $16,500 per year.
Officials say STARS flies an average of 20 missions per year in Brazeau County.
