A special weather statement is in effect for Brazeau County near Drayton Valley and Breton.
Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) says bands of heavy snow are possible tonight through Saturday morning, bringing rapid snow accumulation and poor visibility.
Rapidly deteriorating weather conditions are expected over localized areas. Snowfall totals will be highly variable, but some areas may see quick accumulations of up to 10 centimetres.
Travellers should prepare for quickly changing and deteriorating travel conditions.
