Construction to impact operations at Violet Grove Transfer Station

Construction at Brazeau County’s Violet Grove Transfer Station will impact operations beginning April 27.

Starting that day, only garbage and recyclables will be accepted. Metal, appliances and other materials will need to be taken to another waste location.

The closest alternative waste disposal locations are in Lodgepole, Rocky Rapids and Easyford.

Brazeau County officials say the upgrades are expected to be completed by August 16, weather permitting.

The county also reminds residents they can utilize any transfer station managed by the county. The Aspen Waste Management Facility in Drayton Valley is not managed by the county and may require fees to utilize.
