March 26
2:57 p.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reported theft of cable from a lease site between Lodgepole and Easyford.
11:18 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St/50 Ave – Staff reported a female causing issues and harassing people in a convenience store by accusing them of stealing from her. Members attended, and the very well-known female was gone.
March 27
9:52 a.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reported damage and theft from two different lease sites northwest of Cynthia.
12:02 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported an intoxicated male in a store. Members attended and arrested the male who had knocked down shelving while trying to balance himself. The male was held in cells to sober up and released without charge, though he was told he was not welcome back at that store.
2:54 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported seeing two male youths opening a car door near a neighbouring business. With assistance from another witness, members located both near Rotary Park; both were arrested and returned to the detachment, where they were released to their parents with a warning. Stolen property was recovered.
3:35 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Staff in a store reported a female had been in their bathroom for the past two hours. Members found the female passed out after suspected drug use. Paramedics attended to check the female, who was then given a courtesy ride to a location where a friend would ensure her safety.
4:43 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Power Ctr Blvd – Complainant reported a male who had already been trespassed from a store had returned and had only left the store when confronted by staff. Member located the male and issued a trespass ticket.
4:46 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 48 Ave – Member investigating a mischief file learned that a male youth had been witnessed puncturing vehicle tires with a knife. The male youth was charged appropriately and released to appear in court. Related for report received at 2:54 p.m.
6:22 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported a shoplifter who he confronted as he was believed to have left without paying for some items. The items were returned by the suspect who then left the area. Member unable to identify the suspect.
9:52 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Detachment – Complainant attended the detachment to report needing medical assistance. Paramedics were called and dealt with the female.
March 28
10:33 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Emergency protection order received to be served on a local male. EPO served by an assisting detachment.
March 29
1:44 a.m. – Tomahawk – Complainant reported his work truck broken into and several items stolen. Under investigation.
6:26 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 44 Ave – Complainant reported a possible theft from a truck. Members attended and determined nothing was stolen from the truck though it appeared the intent was to steal the truck. The truck has mechanical issues and the complainant believed the suspect was scared off when a neighbour started his truck.
7:07 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 St – Complainant reported people outside the residence he stays at, trying to get the homeowners attention. Members attended and found the reported persons gone; member believed it had been the brother of a roommate trying to collect money. There were also allegations of an earlier fight, but no one wanted to discuss it with police.
2:06 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 St – Complainant reported leaving her truck unlocked for about an hour and upon returning her bag containing personal items and ID were missing.
March 30
12:38 p.m. – Yellowhead County – Complainant reported damage to a power transformer and pole when culprits tried to steal copper wire from a lease site.
5:39 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported that her credit card stolen the day before (see March 29 at 2:06 p.m.) had been used at several businesses. Under investigation with charges likely against an identified suspect.
8:39 p.m. – Brazeau County – Complainant reported propane stolen from a lease site.
March 31
2:47 a.m. – Poplar Ridge – Members responded to a report that a male with an ankle monitor was not at his approved location. Members had conducted a curfew check about an hour earlier and the male was complying but had apparently left his residence. Members located and arrested the male at a nearby residence; he was held for a telephone bail hearing and remanded in custody by a justice of the peace.
9:50 a.m. and 12:44 p.m. – Members attended the same residence twice to assist paramedics with an intoxicated, possibly suicidal male. The male was not apprehended or taken to hospital either time.
1:16 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 47 St – Complainant reported hearing glass breaking inside a residence. Members attended and determined a couple were arguing and the male punched a window out of frustration. No charges.
6:03 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 St – Members attended a residence with paramedics for a possible assault. Members determined there had been a fight between siblings and some possible drug use. One sibling taken to hospital to be assessed. Under investigation.
April 1
4:57 a.m. – Drayton Valley – RV Park – Complainant reported unwanted people around the washrooms yelling and using drugs. Member attended, disruptive persons no longer in the area.
9:34 a.m. – Drayton Valley – area of the dump – Complainant reported hearing gunshots in the area. Members attended and searched the area, finding nothing suspicious and no victims.
12:05 p.m. – Drayton Valley – File opened to investigate drug trafficking.
1:06 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported his SIN had been compromised in a scam link. Member provided the complainant some suggestions on how to protect his identity.
