A Parkland County resident has been arrested following a stolen property investigation.
On Jan. 7, the Alberta RCMP Community Response Team (CRT), assisted by RCMP Air Services, Parkland RCMP and the Parkland RCMP Crime Reduction Unit, concluded a stolen property investigation.
A search warrant was executed on a residence near Range Road 30 in Parkland County, where a male was arrested on multiple charges and a female was arrested on separate outstanding warrants.
During the search, police say they located and seized the following items:
- Nine non-restricted firearms
- One loaded non-restricted firearm
- Two travel trailers
- Three flat-deck trailers
- One Nissan Maxima
- One Yamaha motorbike
- 10 grams of methamphetamine
As a result, a 44-year-old male Parkland County resident has been charged with:
- Unauthorized Possession of a firearm x 10
- Possession of a loaded firearm
- Careless storage of a firearm
- Possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000 x 5
- Possession of property obtained by crime under $5,000 x 2
- Tampering with a Vehicle Identification Number x 2
He was remanded into custody, with his next court appearance scheduled for Jan. 14 at the Alberta Court of Justice in St. Albert.
