The STAR catholic school division has signed a formal School Resource Officer (SRO) agreement with the Town of Drayton Valley, Brazeau County, and the RCMP.
Officials say the partnership will support the presence of a School Resource Officer at St. Anthony School and Holy Trinity Academy, providing students and staff with enhanced access to support, relationship-building, and safety education within a school setting.
“The School Resource Officer program is grounded in relationships, trust, and prevention,” said Jordan Robinson, STAR Catholic School Division Assistant Superintendent. “This agreement reflects our shared responsibility to create safe, supportive learning environments where students can thrive.”
Representatives from the three partners met in December to formalize the agreement.
