The Drayton Valley Thunder were crushed 7-1 by the Calgary Canucks in a road game Monday night.
On Jan. 5, the Canucks dominated the action until period three, when the Thunder’s Daniel Zhou scored the team’s only point for the night during a powerplay.
His eighth goal of the season, Zhou was assisted by Jack Sears and Caedem Emmett.
Calgary also outshot Drayton Valley 42-27 over the course of the game.
The Thunder are back on home ice on Friday, Jan. 9, to take on the Whitecourt Wolverines.
The Drayton Valley Thunder are currently fifth in the AJHL South Division, with a record of 10-19-2-0.
