Veterans Week falls on Nov. 5-11, and the Drayton Valley branch of the Royal Canadian Legion is hosting its first appreciation dinner to honour active and retired Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) members, as well as other critical industries that maintain public safety and well-being.
Branch 269’s first Annual Recognition Dinner takes place on Nov. 9 to honour those in the CAF, plus the RCMP, the fire department, and other emergency services and first responders, whether retired or still working.
All invitees are welcome to bring one guest at no cost. Additional guest meals will be available for $35.
The evening begins at 6 p.m. and includes a full meal, coffee and tea. Other beverages will be available for purchase at the bar.
