“The Drayton Valley RCMP understands that drug trafficking has been identified as a high priority within the community of Drayton Valley,” said Cpl. Turner. “Drug traffickers exploit individuals with addictions, leading to an increase in property crime and drug overdoses within our community. The Drayton Valley RCMP is committed to continuing to investigate and pursue drug traffickers that profit off and prey on vulnerable people with addictions within the community.”
Both individuals were taken before a Justice of the Peace. Thompson was remanded into custody, while Haubi was released on conditions. Both are scheduled to appear at the Alberta Court of Justice in Drayton Valley on April 15.
