The Alberta Junior Hockey League (AJHL) and Bauer Hockey have a shiny new exclusive equipment agreement for all the league’s teams, kicking in for the start of the 2024-25 season.
Through the agreement, Bauer will provide teams with sticks, helmets, gloves, pants, bags, practice jerseys and socks, plus off-ice apparel.
“Our partnership with Bauer aligns the AJHL with another organization working to advance the game of hockey and with the biggest brand in sport,” stated AJHL Commissioner Ryan Bartoshyk. “We are proud to provide our athletes and teams with the products, service and initiatives that Bauer delivers.”
Justin Aikins, Bauer’s North American Team Sales Manager, noted the agreement is for four years.
“The AJHL has a long history as one of the top junior leagues, not only in Canada but across North America,” Aikins remarked. “We are proud the AJHL has selected Bauer as the exclusive equipment partner and look forward to servicing the players and supporting the league.”
The announcement was ushered in this past weekend with the help of AJHL alumnus (Spruce Grove Mets, St. Albert Saints) and Hockey Hall of Famer Mark Messier.
