Officials with the Town of Drayton Valley say they will be holding a public hearing on Wednesday, May 1, at 9:00 a.m. in the Civic Centre Council Chambers in regards to possible changes to the Land Use Bylaw for a unit located at 4760 46 Street.
The Town Administration is proposing to amend Land Use Bylaw 2020-12-D with amendment 2024-01-D as follows:
1 – Establish DC-2, Direct Control District. Officials say this will allow for residential and limited mixed-use development compatible with the surrounding residential uses.
2 – To redistrict Plan 6261KS Block 27 Lot 1 (4760-46 St.) from R-SML to DC-2 as shown on the map. Officials say the current parcel is zoned R-SML Residential, Small Parcel and are proposing to amend it to DC-2 to allow for uses other than residential.
Residents are encouraged to attend this hearing and provide feedback directly to council.
Feedback can be submitted in writing to the Planning & Development Department in person, or by emailing plandev@draytonvalley.ca prior to Wednesday, May 1.
Any residents with questions or concerns are being asked to contact the Planning & Development Department directly by calling 780-514-2200.
