UPDATE: April 23
On Monday, April 22, at 11:36 a.m., Evansburg RCMP say they received a report of a serious collision involving two semi-trucks on Highway 16 at Range Road 100.
Upon arrival, police say the driver of one of the trucks, a 68-year-old male resident of New Sarepta was found deceased. Mounties say the driver of the other vehicle was taken to hospital with serious injuries. Officers say they remained on scene for several hours conducting an investigation.
RCMP say they have now cleared the highway and normal traffic flow has resumed.
Mounties say the investigation into the cause of the collision continues.

Evansburg RCMP say they are currently on scene of a serious motor vehicle collision in the westbound lanes of Highway 16 at Range Road 100.
Mounties say westbound traffic on Highway 16 is currently being redirected. Police anticipate remaining on scene for several hours while emergency workers respond and police investigate.
