Drayton Valley and Brazeau County residents have the chance to celebrate Alberta Day with the Town and County.
In recognition of Alberta becoming a province on Sept. 1, 1905, the Town of Drayton Valley and Brazeau County are joining the province in celebrating Alberta Day, and officials say there are a ton of great activities taking place in the community.
Activities for the day include:
- Free Family Skate at the Omniplex on Saturday, Sept. 2 from 12:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., and Sunday Sept 3 from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m.
- Free Family Swim at the Ricochet Oil Corp. Aquatic Centre on Saturday, Sept. 2 from 2:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. and Sunday, Sept. 3 from 11:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m.
- Agents of Discovery at Ivan To Park from Sept. 2 – 17. You can download the Agents of Discovery app and join the quest
- Grand Opening of the Disc Golf course on Sunday, Sept. 3 from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. You can get a free starter disc and a tutorial
