The evacuation order previously in place for Entwistle, Evansburg and Parkland County residents located west of Hwy 22, has now been lifted as of 12 noon on Tuesday, May 2, 2023.
Officials say these residents can return home.
Furthermore, Hwy 16 will be open for Parkland County & Evansburg residents returning home.
Alberta Emergency Management Agency adds, this alert is no longer in effect for the Hamlet of Evansburg and the area directly south of Evansburg, north of Highway 16 in Yellowhead County.
Description: The hamlet of Evansburg and the area south of Evansburg, north of Highway 16 on Reno Road area are no longer under evacuation. The mandatory evacuation order for Wildwood, Lobstick and areas surrounding Chip Lake remains in place.
