April 13
10:45 am – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Complainant attended the detachment to report their truck had been stolen sometime overnight and returned with damage to the front end.
12:47 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Avenue – Request for members assistance with a custody dispute. Members spoke with all parties involved.
1:06 pm – Brazeau County – Individual was travelling on Twp 494 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle. Deer left the scene therefore no charges laid.
1:29 pm – Parkland County – Individual known to police has been calling detachment, Rocky Mountain House, Dispatch centers in several provinces and shouting obscenities. Extremely belligerent.
2:33 pm – Brazeau County – Report of a white transport truck with mesh netting had debris coming out of the trailer and onto the roadway. Truck heading northbound on Hwy 22. Members patrolled the area, truck not located.
2:41 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol observed a driver not wearing their seatbelt. Traffic stop initiated and driver issued violation ticket.
2:59 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Report of a residential alarm received. Members attended, no one around and everything secure. Owner returned later, pet cat was upset they had been left behind while owner went out for groceries and set off the alarm.
3:05 pm – Violet Grove – Ongoing dispute regarding property of an estate. Members attended, all parties were advised that this is a civil issue and needs to be dealt with through the estate.
3:29 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Report of a suspicious female walking towards Rotary Park. Female appears to have been assaulted. Members patrolled the area, hospital checks made, female not located. Further information received about possible identification. Matter is still under investigation.
3:37 PM – Drayton Valley – report of a 911 hangup received from payphone. Members attended location of phone, surveillance viewed, no one identified. No emergency noted in area.
5:43 pm – Drayton Valley – report received of a missing person. Daughter failed to return home on the bus after school. Member spoke with friends of daughter and were able to locate daughter who was fine.
6:20 pm – Brazeau County – Report of a custody dispute. Members reviewed parenting agreement and spoke with all parties involved. Parties were advised to come to an agreement between themselves or take back to court as this is a civil matter.
6:48 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report received of an erratic driver in a small white car heading North on Hwy 22 from Drayton Valley. Vehicle is cutting people off and braking etc. Members patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
9:03 pm – Brazeau County – Report of possible stolen property found at a lease site. Members attended, items seized for further investigation.
10:08 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Request to assist with removal of tenant who has been evicted from the property. Members attended and requested individual leave which they did without issue.
11:33 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Request received for a wellbeing check on individual who has not been heard from in a while. Member attended location. All individuals were fine and had been sleeping.
April 14
12:18 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of a break and enter to room at coach Motel. Members attended and located known female who was arrested and charged.
12:34 pm – Drayton Valley – Report received of loud music being played. Members attended and requested the individual turn down the music which they did so without issue.
4:34 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a suspicious vehicle in the area behind one of the car dealerships.
10:26 am – Brazeau County – Report of break and enter to lease site.
2:39 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – complainant advised that they had been staying at another individuals place for a few days and when they left did not get all their belongings. Member spoke with other party who agreed to bring belongings to a mutually agreed upon place.
2:59 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Report received of a lost wallet at Dollarama. Other purchases have been made on cards. Matter is under investigation.
3:30 pm – Drayton Valley – Request to conduct a wellbeing check on couple who they overheard arguing when on the phone. Members attended, both parties spoken to and determined there were no issues.
4:10 pm – Rocky Rapids – Report received of an aggressive driver in a black Toyota Tacoma. Vehicle had been tailgating complainant. Members spoke with driver of vehicle and warned them regarding their manner of driving.
10:57 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Member on patrol observed a vehicle speeding. Traffic stop initiated and violation ticket for speeding issued.
April 15
1:16 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Complainant calling to report someone using the skid steer at company in Drayton Valley. Concerned someone is trying to steal it. Members attended and located company employee using the skid steer to unload crate.
3:39 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – report of a family dispute received. Members attended, parent wished youth be taken away for the night as they were concerned they may damage things. Members took youth to a friend’s place, however youth soon decided to return home. Mother unhappy.
4:32 am – Drayton Valley – Report of a break and enter in progress at the new pool. Male had broken into the yard. Members followed tracks in snow and located coper pipe fittings as well as the jacket and pants that had been described. Police dog Services contacted and tracked individual to known address where male was spoken to and denied any involvement. Further investigation required.
8:11 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting items left in Edmonton Sun paper box. Member attended and retrieved items which included needles and small amounts of drugs.
9:22 am – Drayton Valley – 62 Street – Report received of a missing person. Male had left work and had not returned home. Male called shortly after, members met with male who was fine.
9:26 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Custody Dispute reported. Complainant advised that other party was not adhering to custody agreement. Members attempted to speak with complainant however they did not answer the phone.
1:56 pm – Tomahawk – Complainant reporting they received a photo radar ticket for a vehicle they do not own. Vehicle belongs to daughter. Member attended
3:48 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant called again regarding youth that has returned home. Parent wished youth to be removed. Child and Family Services Contacted.
5:26 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 621 – complainant reporting they are being followed by known male who is on conditions. Male did not follow complainant all the way home. Male to be spoken to
8:59 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Members were on patrol when the observed a vehicle behind a known residence. Vehicle had been reported stolen out of Vegreville. Further investigation revealed that vehicle had not been stolen.
9:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report of a male attempting to gain entry to residence. Members attended, no male observed, patrols made, no males matching description were located.
10:18 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of a disturbance at the MAT program. Members attended, one individual was being belligerent to another. One female provided a courtesy ride to a family members.
April 16
12:33 am – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Unknown complainant reporting loud noise from garage nearby. Members attended, party going on in garage. Requested all individuals keep the noise down.
3:17 am – Drayton Valley – OCT – Members were called to a disturbance at the OCT in Drayton Valley. All parties intoxicated. Members separated parties and provided a courtesy ride.
3:59 AM – Brazeau County – Members were on patrol when they received a call to be on the lookout for a suspicious vehicle. Members located the vehicle and individual who was given a 24 hour suspension for impaired driving by drugs.
11:00 am – Drayton Valley – Wal-Mart – Report of a previous shoplifting at Wal-Mart. Suspect identified. Suspect to be banned from property.
11:01 am – Brazeau County – Report of an alarm at the Brazeau county office. Members attended and located an employee who had accidentally set off the alarm.
1:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Avenue – Report of 4 youth looking in windows at museum, chasing geese and rummaging through machinery in the back. Member attended, all youth were gone upon arrival. Patrols in the area were unsuccessful.
3:37 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Member on patrol they observed a vehicle which appeared out of place for the location. A query on the licence plate showed the plate associated to a different vehicle. Plate seized.
5:05 pm – Drayton Valley – Call received from complainant advising that their ex is breaching the conditions between them. Numerous emails have been sent over the past several weeks. Male arrested, charged and held for a hearing. Male released on order from Justice
9:27 pm – Yellowhead County – 2 reports received of break and enters to lease sites.
April 17
12:03 am – Drayton Valley – 43A Avenue – Complaint received of concerns for welfare of child. Members attended and spoke with both parties concerned. Child was safe, no issues.
3:56 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report of mischief occurring to a window of a vehicle while parked at the OCT.
6:32 am – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Report received of an assault in progress. Members attended and separated both parties. Visible injuries observed. Female arrested and charged for assault and held for hearing.
9:08 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of unwanted persons at hotel. Male and female are attempting to check in, however have no credit card. Members attended, male arrested on breach of conditions and released. Advised both parties to find another hotel.
10:05 am – Brazeau County – Report of a break and enter to lease site. Electrical wire stolen from various locations along with a quantity of propane.
10:08 am – Brazeau County – Report of a suspicious person. Male sleeping in a vehicle by the gravel pits. Members attended location and located male who advised he was tired so had pulled over to sleep on the way to Lloydminster.
10:17 am – Brazeau County – Report of break and enter to lease site. Transformer destroyed.
11:15 am – Brazeau County – Member called to a suspicious male in a vehicle. Member attended, no insurance. Violation ticket issued.
12:52 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – 911 hang-up received. Male had called wanting to report something then hung up. Members located male whose phone had died when calling. No emergency.
2:08 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report received of concern for child welfare. Member check on child who was fine.
3:01 pm – Drayton Valley – ongoing custody dispute. One party states that the other is breaching the custody order. Order is not police enforceable. Members advised parties to attend court to have order amended.
4:13 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Report received of a breach of a order. One party had advised they would not be returning children as had been agreed. Member attended to ensure exchange went smoothly. No issues.
4:15 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – while on patrol members were flagged down by an individual who advised their vehicle had been broken into and their cell phone stolen. Phone returned, however sim card missing. Male arrested and charged.
5:31 PM – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting their truck had been struck while parked in the parking lot of the Canton Restaurant. Member attended.
8:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of a male sleeping in the vestibule of the BMO. Members attended and located known individual who gathered their belongings and left.
11:57 pm – Drayton Valley – 42 Avenue – Residential alarm received. Members attended and cleared the residence. Original alarm had come in at 4:00 pm. It did not appear that anything had been taken.
April 18
1:34 pm – Drayton Valley – Econorest – Report of an altercation in the parking lot. Members attended
2:08 am – Drayton Valley – Report of a commercial alarm received. Members attended all doors locked and secure.
3:23 am – Drayton Valley – 54 Avenue – 911 call for a suspicious vehicle. Silver GMC had been parked at location for over 30 minutes.
9:04 am – Drayton Valley – Report of individual spreading false allegations about another party. Members spoke with all involved and provided a warning regarding the spreading of false accusations.
9:52 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Individual attended the detachment to turn in a wallet they had found in the McDonalds parking lot. Member called owner and returned wallet.
11:30 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Report of an unwanted female who is sleeping outside between two sheds. Members attended and located known female who appeared to have injuries. Female taken to hospital for assessment as she could not provide any information regarding injuries.
12:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of individuals attempting to use a stolen credit card to pay for lodging. Matter is still under investigation.
12:40 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report of vehicle being vandalized while parked in the OCT parking lot. Members attended, one female arrested and charged.
12:50 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of a distracted driver in the Tim Hortons parking lot. One party was having a dispute with the other and blocked their vehicle in. Members attended, vehicle had not been blocked in, however other party had been driving while filming individual on their cell phone. Argument started inside the restaurant and was between family members. Members spoke with both parties.
6:52 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a male asking customers for money in the parking lot. Male wearing an orange hoodie, ball cap and blue sweats. Members attended and located known male. Male advised to move on and not ask individuals for money.
8:21 pm – Yellowhead County – Report of a suspicious vehicle on a lease site. Vehicle is a white 4 door GMC. Lots of copper in back.
11:15 pm – Drayton Valley -41 Avenue – 911 open line. Ongoing issue, issue with phone line. Members attended location which is a cell tower.
April 19
3:55 am – Drayton Valley – Report of a suspicious vehicle entering a lease site. Members patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
4:15 am – Brazeau County – Report of a female walking on the highway. Members attended and made patrols, female not located.
10:16 AM – Drayton Valley – Report received of a lost licence plate.
11:45 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report of damage to the front step of the Health Center. Damage started about a month ago.
12:29 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Report of unwanted female who entered residence through a window. Member attended and female removed and taken to hospital for assessment.
12:32 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a female in the bathroom inside the store. Member attended, known female was sleeping in one of the bathroom stalls. Member requested female move.
2:12 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Report received of document fraud. Legal documents were used to obtain a visa. Matter is under investigation.
2:20 PM – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a suspicious male looking into vehicles. Last observed in the back alley. Male is approximately 5’10” wearing a denim jacket with blue hood and denim jeans. Member patrolled the area, male not located.
5:53 pm – Brazeau County – Report of a break and enter to lease site earlier this morning. Suspects entered a locked compound and building. Nothing appears to have been taken, however damage to wires and chain.
6:21 pm – Brazeau County – Report received of a vehicle hitting a trailer. Members attended, one male arrested and numerous charges laid for impaired driving, assault with weapon, breaching conditions. Male held for a hearing.
7:35 pm – Drayton Valley – 62 Street – Report received of a theft of copper wire in progress. Members attended and located known male who was picking bottles, not stealing copper wire.
April 20
12:18 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of intoxicated teenagers at the McDonalds in Drayton Valley. Youth are in a Silver ford Taurus, youth are throwing snow at vehicles. Member attended and located vehicle heading North on Hwy 22, traffic stop initiated. Breath demand resulted in a Fail. Drivers licence seized for 90 days and vehicle towed for 30 days.
10:40 am – Drayton Valley – 50 avenue – Motor vehicle collision – Complainant was travelling east on 50th avenue when they were struck by another vehicle. Statements provided and damage sticker issued.
11:17 am – Brazeau County – Range Road 83 – Break in at an oil and gas lease site. Complainant called to say that one of their lease sites was broken into the night before. Investigation continuing.
11:16 am – Drayton Valley – 50th street – Theft form the Holiday Inn Express. Holiday inn called police to advise that a female who was rented a room by Alberta Works had stripped the room when she departed. Female took everything from the room including all bedding and towels. Female later located and charged with theft.
12:05 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 avenue – Complainant called police to advise that a female was checking door handles downtown. Members attended and patrolled the area. Members spoke with a female who matched the description, advised her to stay away from vehicles.
12:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Child called 911 playing with their parent’s cell phone.
12:26 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Complainant contacted police about an unwanted male sleeping in their stairwell. Prior to police arrival complainant called back and advised the male had left.
1:43 pm – Drayton Valley – Canadian Tire – Complaint received of a theft from Canadian Tire. Members attended, obtained video surveillance of the suspect and their vehicle. Investigation is continuing.
3:09 pm – Brazeau County – Township 492 – Female caller called police to report an assault in progress. Members attended, determined that this was a family dispute and no assault had occurred. Parties separated for the night.
3:26 pm – Drayton Valley – 55 avenue – Report received of a motor vehicle collision in the parking lot of the Claro Clinic. Statements provided and damage sticker issued.
4:22 pm – Drayton Valley – 52nd street – Police received a request to do a well being check on a male as the complainant had concerns he was going to harm himself. Members attended and spoke with the male who advised he had no plans to hurt himself.
4:48 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 avenue – Motor vehicle collision reported at 50 avenue and 48 street. Female went to do a U-turn and was clipped by the vehicle driving behind her. Female issued warning about the U-turn.
7:04 pm – Drayton Valley – 52nd street – Manager of a local apartment building called police to advise that there were numerous unwanted people in on of the apartments in the building. Members attended, all unwanted guests had left. Manager advised that this is a landlord/tenancy issue and not a police matter.
April 21
01:58 am – Brazeau County – Highway 22 – Police received a report of a robbery. Complainant called police to advise that 2 males whom he was giving a ride to him beat him up, stole his truck and left him on the side of the highway. Member’s attended and located male, male transported to the hospital. Investigation continuing.
