Breton RCMP have arrested a repeat offender after catching them with two stolen snowmobiles.
Breton RCMP report that, on March 9, 2022, they received information about a stolen snowmobile. The snowmobile had been tracked to a property near Buck Lake. The property was known to police. Breton RCMP obtained a search warrant.
Breton RCMP, with the assistance of the Thorsby RCMP, executed the search warrant at the property and recovered the snowmobile. Further investigation led to the recovery of a second stolen snowmobile.
Trevor Douglas McKay, a 29-year old from Wetaskiwin County, was arrested and charged with two counts of possession of property obtained by crime exceeding $5000, and one count of breaching a release order.
McKay was brought before a Justice of the Peace where he was released on bail. His court date is scheduled for Breton Provincial Court on April 13, 2022.
