Old Man Winter is getting one last snowfall in.
A snowfall warning has been issued for:
- Brazeau Co. near Drayton Valley and Breton
- Co. of Wetaskiwin near Alder Flats and Winfield
- Co. of Wetaskiwin near Pigeon Lake
- Leduc Co. near Calmar and Devon
- Leduc Co. near Warburg Thorsby and Pigeon Lake
- Ponoka Co. near Crestomere
- Ponoka Co. near Rimbey Bluffton and Hoadley
Between 10 and 20 cm of snow are expected on Sunday, March 20.
The snow will begin on Sunday morning in west central Alberta and move eastward throughout the day.
It is expected to be a wet, heavy snow, and will briefly be mixed with freezing rain.
Environment Canada predicts the snow should end some time Sunday evening. They also warn to adjust for changing road conditions, as visibility could be reduced by the heavy snow.
