After this winter, Brazeau County is getting ready to overhaul their snow removal policies.
At the County’s Feb. 22 meeting, Brazeau County council directed administration to develop a new snow removal policy.
The new policy is to be patterned after Leduc County’s, and includes setting priorities, minimum timelines, and performance indicators for snow clearing operations.
Brazeau County is down to party this summer.
At the County’s Feb. 22 meeting, Brazeau County council pledged their support for the Drayton Valley Community Foundation’s (DVCF) two street parties in Drayton Valley in 2022.
The first street party, entitled the Kick-Off to Summer, is tentatively scheduled for Jun. 24. The second, to be called the DVCF Community Dinner Street Party, is aiming for Aug. 19.
When DVCF member Tara Middlemiss first unveiled the plan at Drayton Valley town council’s Feb. 9 meeting, she said that one thing they were hoping Brazeau County would be able to supply is their peace officers to help with security at the beer gardens.
Brazeau County did say that Community Peace Officers would be comprising their support.
Brazeau County took a moment to celebrate the love.
On Feb. 14, Brazeau County invited county residents Ron and Linda Klammer down to the County offices. There, Division 3 Councillor Cody Brooks presented them with a gift to celebrate their 50th anniversary.
The County shares that Ron and Linda were high school sweethearts, and have lived in Brazeau County for 43 of their 50 years.
