
Breton RCMP recently assisted Rimbey RCMP in recovering several stolen firearms.
On Jan. 3, at 2 a.m., Rimbey RCMP located a stolen vehicle and RV parked in the parking lot of a Rimbey church. Rimbey RCMP share that they called in the assistance of the Breton/Thorsby, and Sylvan Lake RCMP detachments, and the Red Deer Police Dog Services.
Together, they conducted a search and found a 37 year-old Sylvan Lake resident, in a nearby home.
Upon searching the stolen motor home, RCMP discovered seven stolen firearms and other stolen property.
The suspect now faces 20 charges, including seven counts of failing to comply with release order conditions, four counts of possession of property obtained by crime under $5000, and one count of flight from police.
The suspect has been remanded in custody, with a court date set in Wetaskiwin provincial court for Jan. 5.
