It was another successful year for Drayton Valley’s Cram the Cruiser.
The annual fundraiser sees a police cruiser parked in front of the Drayton Valley Wal-Mart, and people stuff it full of donations for the Drayton Valley Food Bank and Santa’s Anonymous. This year’s event was held on Dec. 10.
In a statement, Brazeau County reports that this was one of their biggest years to date. For the Food Bank, they collected 2,214 pounds of food and $370 in cash donations. For Santa’s Anonymous, they collected 206 toys, and $360 in cash donations.
The County also extends a special thanks to OJ Pipeline and Weyerhaeuser for “exceptional donations.”
Cram the Cruiser is organized by Brazeau County and the Drayton Valley RCMP. This was the fourth year for the event.
