7:59 am – Drayton Valley – 55 Avenue – Members on patrol located a stolen truck. Vehicle towed by Registered Owner
10:08 am – Drayton Valley – Request to serve Summons for another agency
11:20 am – Drayton Valley – Members on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued violation ticket for no registration.
12:11 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing a mismatched plate on an SUV. Investigation determined that the 60-year-old male was operating the vehicle while impaired. The male was subsequently charged with impaired driving, driving while unauthorized, operating a vehicle without insurance or registration, misuse of license plate and having open liquor in the vehicle. He was also arrested on outstanding warrants from Breton and Fort Saskatchewan. The vehicle was towed and impounded.
12:56 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant attended the detachment to report colliding with a large dog. Owner of the dog was aware of the collision
1:56 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a tent in trees behind a business, possibly visible now due to trees being bare. Member attended, tent unoccupied
2:05 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 St – Complainant reported damage to an apartment door, under investigation
3:05 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reported a reckless semi driver, purple Peterbilt overtook complainant on the shoulder. Member unable to attend due to other ongoing matters
3:52 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Ave – Members on patrol located a stolen truck and trailer which subsequently parked at a residence. A male and female were arrested at the scene. The truck and the trailer it was towing were both confirmed stolen and a loaded shotgun was located in the vehicle. 33-year-old Kenneth CURTIS was remanded in custody after a bail hearing and charged with 13 new offences including Possession of Property Obtained by Crime, Driving while Prohibited, Fail to Comply with a release order, and multiple charges related to weapons offences. The female was arrested on an outstanding traffic warrant and charged with Possession of Methamphetamine and Fail to Comply with conditions; she was released from custody to appear in court at a later date – and after a family member had paid her approximately $5000 in outstanding fines.
7:48 pm – Parkland County – Complainant reported a male parked roadside for about 45 minutes in a rural area. Member attended and determined the male was on the phone to his girlfriend and at the location as he had reasonable cell service.
October 29
4:19 am – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported 2 males sleeping in a bank ATM lobby. When a member attended the males were gone
9:52 am – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Youth reported missing by his school. Members responded but the boy was located by staff in the school
11:03 am – Drayton Valley – 43 St – Member responded to a residential panic alarm. No issues beyond operator error
12:24 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Ave – Complainant reports a male relative entered her store and stole a computer. Related to other recent files and a dispute over a vehicle. Members subsequently located the male who arrested and transported to a designated facility for mental health treatment
1:24 pm – Parkland County – Hwy 22 – Complainant attended the detachment to report hitting a deer
1:24 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reported a vehicle in the ditch. Member attended, driver not impaired, had misjudged turn. Member remained while driver was able to get truck back on the road
1:44 pm – Drayton Valley – Power Center Blvd – Complainant reported shoplifting by an ex employee. Under investigation
1:50 pm – Drayton Valley – 58 Ave/RR 73 – Complainant reported a suspicious male who was subsequently picked up by a white SUV. Member patrolled the area but the SUV wasn’t located. No documented offence
2:33 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a bicycle stolen from Drayton Christian School. Suspect identified, bicycle recovered later. Under investigation, female suspect well known to police and known to act erratically due to drug use and mental health issues
3:17 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Ave – Complainant reported mischief to her car by a female. The female appeared “not in her right mind” and was trying to clean the car and perhaps apply some paint. Same female suspect that took the bicycle earlier. Female was not located after either incident despite patrols being made
3:44 pm – Brazeau County – Poplar Ridge area – Complainant reported a break in to a business yard that occurred sometime overnight. A smaller crane picker unit is missing, under investigation
4:55 pm – Drayton Valley – 40 St – Complainant reported her ex was at her residence and was worried there might be an escalation. Members attended, the ex had left without incident
5:21 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Ave – Complainant reported locating a bicycle reported stolen earlier in the afternoon
8:14 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reported a vehicle driving erratically on Hwy 22, driver possibly impaired. Members unable to locate the vehicle. The owner was contacted and advised her boyfriend had been driving the vehicle home from work and was unfamiliar with it]
8:55 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no insurance.
October 30
8:32 am – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported a male sleeping in the entrance to an apartment building. Member attended and sent the male on his way without incident
1:15 pm – Drayton Valley – 34 Avenue – Complainant reporting they showed up at work and found a person stealing. Person took off in a White Ford F350. Nothing stolen.
1:30 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting a dispute between them and ex. Complainant had attended residence to pick up belongings. Members attended and separated parties.
1:39 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Complainant reporting squatters in condemned trailer. Member attended and located known female. Female left when requested to.
9:47 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – Complainant reporting a party with underage drinking. Members attended and broke up party, unattended alcohol was seized and disposed of.
October 31
12:43 am – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Complainant reporting individuals at residence and an argument broke out. Individuals were asked to leave. Complainant was concerned they would be driving impaired. Family located at local hotel, a family friend had driven them.
1:47 am – Drayton Valley – 44 Avenue – Complainant called 911 to report a group of people moving stuff out of a residence. Member attended and noted people moving things out. Member spoke with all parties. People in the residence were intoxicated.
10:12 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Complainant reporting 3 individuals squatting at trailer that was condemned. Members attended, no one found on location.
12:54 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Avenue – Complainant reporting a break and enter to residence. Members attended and spoke with complainant who did not wish charges,. Room mate had broken in in order to obtain belongings.
2:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 55 Avenue – Complainant reporting vehicles stunting at Aurora School. A black older sedan and a silver longbox pickup truck. Both vehicles took off while still on the phone with complainant. Patrols made in the area, however vehicles not located.
2:58 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant attended the detachment to turn in a drivers licence which they found on the sidewalk.
3:05 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting a male laying on the ground outside the 7-11. Members attended and woke known male up. Male agreed to leave.
4:58 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant called 911 to report a grey truck with 3 people in the back. Member located vehicle and violation ticket issued.
6:59 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting ex was supposed to make arrangements with another individual to exchange child. Member spoke with both parties. Agreed to exchange child the next day as they were out trick or treating.
7:18 pm – Drayton Valley – 54 Avenue – Complainant reporting a female walking down the middle of the road carrying multiple purses full of stuff. Patrols made in area, female not located.
7:34 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol conducted traffic stop. Passenger issued a violation ticket for no seatbelt.
10:53 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Avenue – Complainant their grand daughter had received a small chip bag full of shaving cream while trick or treating. Member spoke with all parties.
11:57 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting a male sleeping in the BMO vestibule. Member attended and spoke with male who left without incident.
November 1
10:31 am – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Complainant called to report a collision with a deer
11:00 am – Brazeau county – RR 75 – Complainant reporting an ongoing issue with the fence being cut.
11:26 am – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Request to assist probation with serving a Fail to Comply order.
12:19 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Complainant reporting vandalism. Someone dropped off a white Dodge Caravan and then this morning there was 2 males and 1 female by the vehicle who then smashed the back window and then searched through the vehicle.
2:00 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant attended the detachment to report an outstanding bill not paid by the employees.
2:04 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing an individual driving while using their cell phone. Driver issued a violation ticket.
2:51 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for driving while unauthorized, failing to stop, no licence, registration or insurance.
3:09 pm – Drayton Valley – 38 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Vehicle driver charged with driving a vehicle with an expired plate. Warning issued for failing to stop at stop sign.
3:33 pm – Drayton Valley – 38 Street – Member on patrol observed an individual on their cell phone. Vehicle stop initiated and driver issued a violation ticket
3:47 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for failing to stop.
4:13 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Complainant calling to report unwanted persons in apartment. Male had been issued an eviction notice. Member advised that complainant needs to go through the proper eviction process.
4:25 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting they lost a wallet while trick or treating. Wallet has a Deadpool on it.
6:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant calling to report a possible stolen BBQ. Member attended and spoke with complainant who advised that they saw 2 individuals at the side of the complex and when he shoed them off, they left the BBQ behind.
7:15 pm – Brazeau county – Complainant calling to report neighbour came to their residence as they were intoxicated and began to yell at them. Member attended, neighbour had left prior to arrival.
8:17 pm – Drayton Valley – 55 Avenue – Complainant reporting they were followed home by known male in a White F350 Dually. Member attended residence of male and spoke with him who advised complainant had been driving erratically. Male was warned.
9:59 pm – Brazeau county – 911 open line. Operator could hear a female shouting. Members conducted patrols in the area, however could not located anyone in distress.
November 2
1:17 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Complainant reporting a 10 year old was inside the Derrick Lounge alone and crying. Members attended and located boy. Boy advised that their mother was there and described the vehicle. Member located matching vehicle and mother. Boy had left on there own without moms knowledge.
3:34 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Member conducted curfew check on individual. No answer. Male to be charged for breaching conditions.
9:03 AM – Drayton Valley – 48A Avenue – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing and individual on their cell phone. Driver issued a violation ticket.
10:02 am – Brazeau County – Complainant attended the detachment to report that while they were hunting, they had accidentally fired a round through the floor of their vehicle.
11:01 am – Brazeau county – Complainant called to report they found a deceased cow near the rose creek.
11:21 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting an erratic driver. Vehicle was all over the road. Member attended and located vehicle, driver issued a 24 hour suspension.
12:14 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant reporting the possible location of a stolen vehicle. Vehicle had been reported the previous day, however queries did not indicate it had been reported. Further investigation revealed vehicle not stolen.
12:50 pm – Brazeau county – RR 85 – Complainant reporting a vehicle on fire. Member attended and spoke with the Registered Owner and driver who advised that they smelled smoke while driving. They stopped and opened the hood and observed flames. Fire department attended and put out fire.
1:26 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting an abandoned vehicle on a car jack and missing a tire. Member attended, vehicle not registered. Registered owner is a regular guest.
2:55 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting theft of steak from grocery store. Male approximately 25 – 30 years wearing a green coat, black jeans, black hat and white runners was driving a white ford truck.
3:28 pm – Brazeau county – Complainant reporting they were driving and something flew and cracked their windshield when they drove past a truck on Hwy 620.
3:37 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 621 – Complainant reporting they received a disturbing message over
Facebook. Message was disrespectful and full of obscenities, however no threats made. Ongoing issue and both parties spoken to.
4:33 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant called to request a wellbeing check on individual. Member attended and spoke with individual who was fine.
5:23 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for speeding.
10:38 pm – Tomahawk – Complainant reporting their landlord is trying to illegally evict them. Member attended, civil matter, member referred them to the landlord tenant board.
11:55 pm – Drayton Valley – Member attended a residence to conduct a curfew check. Individual not there. Charges for breaching conditions.
November 3
9:09 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting students are in a mutual fight and believes that criminal harassment may be going on. Members attended the school which is already handling the matter.
11:14 AM – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Complainant requesting a wellbeing check on individual. Members attended, individual was fine.
11:30 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Request to assist with a apprehension order.
12:16 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting lease site broken into and copper wire and batteries stolen.
12:52 pm – Parkland county – Complaint received of an alarm set off. Members attended the residence, false alarm, resident had thought they had deactivated the alarm.
1:02 pm – Brazeau county – Complainant advised they were driving on Hwy 43 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
1:34 pm – Brazeau county – Complainant reporting they were driving on RR 53 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
1:37 pm – Drayton Valley – 48A Avenue – Complainant reporting lock punched and ignition tampered with on vehicle overnight. Radar stolen.
1:58 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant attended the detachment to turn in a blue solid substance they found while walking on the path. Substance confirmed to be fentanyl.
3:43 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Street – Break and enter to business. Hole kicked into the door. Members attended and cleared the business. Nothing stolen.
4:40 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting dog just hit by vehicle. Members attended and transported dog to the vet. The dog passed away
5:29 pm – Parkland County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting a possible impaired driver southbound on Hwy 22. White freightliner super B tanker is swerving into oncoming traffic. Members patrolled the area with negative results.
6:05 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant called to request a wellbeing check on individual. Members contacted individual who advised they were ok and at work.
6:19 pm – Brazeau county – RR 81 – Members patrolled the area after receiving a message from Edson RCMP about a stolen truck. Members located the vehicle with two occupants. Both individuals arrested on scene and held for bail hearing.
7:14 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Complainant calling to report kids knocking on windows. Members attended and spoke with youth who were advised to find something better to do with their time.
7:51 pm – Drayton Valley – Derrick Manor – Complainant calling to request a wellbeing check on sister. Member attended residence and located individual who was fine.
9:59 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Complainant requesting a wellbeing check on an individual who had fallen off their bike. Member attended, female did not require medical assistance.
10:33 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Complainant reporting a break and enter and breach of conditions. Male arrested on outstanding warrants. Male very combative with members as a result additional charges of assault police officer and mischief laid. Male held for bail hearing.
November 4
12:07 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Complainant reporting an assault at a local bar. Member attended and located male from previous complaint. Consensual fight.
1:49 am – Drayton Valley – Commercial audible alarm report received. Alarm cancelled by property rep.
