It was a rough night for the Drayton Valley Thunder Tuesday evening, as they were shut out 4-0 by the Spruce Grove Saints.
The Saints came marching in during the first period, scoring three goals. Cody Pisarczyk scored first and getting assists from Jaden Senkoe and Caiden Gault, That was followed by Logan Acheson finding the net next and getting assists from Nikola Jovanovic and Coster Dunn. The Saints third goal came from Brett Pfoh, with assists from Ewan McPherson and Breck McKinley. The score was 3-0 Saints at the end of the first.
The Thunder were able to hold the line in the second period, however, as the Saints managed 11 shots on net, but were not able to get one past Thunder goalie Byron Fancy.
Sadly, the Saints got one past Fancy in the third period though. Ewan McPherson scored, getting assists from Graeme Bryks and Logan Acheson. Final score was 4-0 for the Saints.
The Thunder are back in action on Friday night, when they head to Brooks to take on the Bandits.
