September 29
8:21 am – 58 Avenue – Drayton Valley – Report of an abandoned, possibly stolen, vehicle. Police attended and were able to locate the owner and confirm it was not stolen.
9:34 am – 53 Street – Drayton Valley – Police were called to a neighbour dispute, members attended and spoke with both parties in an attempt to mediate the situation.
10:22 am – 41 Avenue – Drayton Valley – 911 open line call from a Telus Communication Site. Members attended, no issues found, ongoing issue with site.
10:40 am – Madsen Avenue – Drayton Valley – 911 hang-up from the hospital, ongoing issue caused when people attempt to dial out.
12:30 – Rocky Rapids – Members on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver prohibited from driving and no insurance or registration. Vehicle seized. And towed.
1:21 pm – Hwy 22 – Brazeau County – Collision between a vehicle and a bird.
3:17 pm – Mackenzie Avenue – Drayton Valley – Potential scam and attempted identity theft over the phone. Caller claimed to be with Telus and offered a reduced bill, person information provided, but believed afterwards that it was not legitimate.
5:37 pm – Hwy 624 – Parkland County – Wellbeing check requested, police attended, no issues found.
6:00 pm – 49 Avenue – Drayton Valley – Found license plate that had not been reported stolen. Member was able to find the owner and return it.
11:08 pm – 81 RR – Brazeau County – Report of a break-in in progress. Members attended and found that there was nobody on the premises and no signs of attempted entry.
September 30
5:58 am – 56 Street – Drayton Valley – Hold-up alarm from a business. Members attended, there was a meeting on site and the alarm was triggered accidentally.
7:02 am – 494 Twp – Brazeau County – Alarm at the County office. Police attended, no sign of forced entry, believed to have likely been an employee, nothing stolen or damaged.
8:38 am – 50 Avenue – Drayton Valley – Report of an abandoned vehicle. Vehicle parked legally and not stolen.
12:16 pm – Drayton Valley – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for not wearing their seatbelt.
12:36 pm – Hwy 621 – Brazeau County – Call of a possible impaired driver with firearms in the vehicle. Members located the vehicle, the driver was sober and the firearms were secure and had valid licensing.
2:32 pm – 52 Street – Drayton Valley – Report of a person walking around with a large knife on their belt. The person was not threatening or doing anything with the knife. Police spoke with the person and suggested they carry it in a more inconspicuous manner; however, they were doing nothing wrong.
3:05 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Complainant called to report a suspicious male wearing a machete on their belt. Members attended and located male who advised they were waiting for a ride.
4:34 pm – 54 Avenue – Cynthia – Report of a stunting vehicle in the hamlet of Cynthia. The complainant had spoken with the driver and asked them to stop.
6:05 pm – Madsen Avenue – Drayton Valley – Police were called by hospital staff to turn over a controlled substance believed to be methamphetamine that was found.
7:46 pm – 44 Street – Drayton Valley – Complaint of threats and bullying at the skate park. Police attended and spoke with all parties involved along with parents.
8:16 pm – Brazeau County – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for speeding
8:50 pm – Hwy 759 – Brazeau County – Collision between a semi and a farm tractor. The vehicles side swiped one another, no injuries.
October 1
1:21 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting an individual slumped over steering wheel in parking lot. Member attended and located male who was intoxicated and sleeping. Vehicle keys seized to ensure they would not drive. Keys returned in the morning.
8:25 am – 71 RR – Brazeau County – Report of a driver failing to stop for a school bus with sign out and lights flashing.
10:44 am – Hwy 621 – Brazeau County – Property/neighbour dispute. Issues revolving around a court order foreclosure on a property and other items store on the land that were not related to the foreclosure. Advised parties to seek out advice from a lawyer.
12:07 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant attended the detachment to report historic assaults that occurred in several different communities by the same person.
1:24 pm – Power Centre Boulevard – Drayton Valley – Call of a dog left in a vehicle unattended. Police attended and found dog and spoke with owner, dog was not in distress, outside temperature did not warrant further concern.
7:00 pm – Hwy 22 – Brazeau County – Report of a dangerous driver, speeding and passing on solid line. Members patrolled but did not locate the vehicle. Owner spoken to, apologized for their driving.
8:01 pm – 46 Avenue – Drayton Valley – Suspicious vehicle/people outside a residence appear to be watching the complainants house. When the complainant noticed them they left. Police patrolled the area but were unable to locate the vehicle.
8:16 pm – Tomahawk – Complainant calling to report ex rammed their vehicle and trailer.
8:30 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for speeding.
8:56 pm – Brazeau County – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for speeding.
9:37 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no insurance.
October 2
12:13 am – Drayton Valley – Call requesting information regarding property dispute. Matter appears civil in nature, but suggested to speak with a lawyer.
12:18 am – 45 Avenue – Drayton Valley – Alarm at Holy Trinity Academy. Police attended and confirmed the building was secure, no signs of damage or forced entry.
2:59 am – 45 Street – Drayton Valley – Attempted theft of a truck, callers alarm went off, lock was punched, but alarm must have scared them off.
3:01 am – 50 Street – Drayton Valley – Wellbeing check/missing person called in, complainant’s daughter was expected home at 10:00pm but hadn’t arrived. While police were following up with friends they were with earlier in the night, they returned home.
7:25 am – 34 Avenue – Drayton Valley – Explosion heard and then smoke seen coming from behind Valley Power. Police and Drayton Valley Fire attended and found a fully engulfed truck. Fire services extinguished the fire and the vehicle was towed to identify the owner and determine if it was stolen.
8:24 am – 50 Street – Drayton Valley – Report of a breach of a court order. Investigation determined no breach had occurred.
9:09 am – 73 RR – Brazeau County – Police were asked to attend a property to keep the peace while property was retrieved.
1:18 pm – 50 Avenue – Drayton Valley – Report of an older male walking down the street with blood on their face and hands. Members attended and spoke with the male and had EMS attend to treat and transport the male to the hospital. The male could not recall how he got injured, members made extensive inquiries in the neighbourhood but were unable to determine what happened.
2:41 pm – 71 RR – Parkland County – Tamper alarm from a communication tower, police attended and cleared the area, nothing appeared to have been damaged or entry attempted.
2:43 pm – 91 RR – Brazeau County – Report of an impaired driver. Police attended and located the vehicle parked, the owner said a friend was going to be driving him home.
2:56 pm – 47 Street – Drayton Valley – 911 hang-up. Police spoke with staff on site, call was accidental.
4:00 pm – Drayton Valley – Landlord/tenant dispute, members attended to keep the peace, both parties directed to call the landlord/tenant board on Monday.
5:07 pm – Power Centre Boulevard – Drayton Valley – Report of a planned anti-mask event in a parking lot.
6:32 PM – Drayton Valley – Landlord Tenant dispute. Landlord locked out tenant. Member advised to contact the landlord tenant board. Both parties advised not to touch anything.
October 3
1:00 am – Tomahawk – Complainant calling to report they thought they heard someone entering their residence. Members attended, no signs of activity, residence cleared, no one there except the resident.
7:40 am – 50 Street – Drayton Valley – Attempted theft of a vehicle overnight, damage to driver’s side door and ignition.
9:09 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle at residence. Comes every night. Vehicle drives up driveway then leaves. Nothing stolen.
3:54 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting election signs being removed and tampered with.
6:14 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a possible breach of conditions. Complainant stated that they heard from another party that a person who is on no contact conditions intends to attend their residence. Both parties spoken to. Individual has no intentions of attended.
6:49 pm – Rocky Rapids – Complainant reporting an assault. Individual was walking home when a known individual started throwing crab apples.
7:07 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 39 – Complainant reporting a vehicle driving very erratically, all over the road. Vehicle was on its way towards Leduc, Breton advised.
October 4
7:55 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Street – Complainant calling to report neighbour is running their chain saw. Has been shut off.
8:28 AM – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting vandalism to vehicles overnight. Vehicles were broken into. Damage to door handles and ignitions.
11:04 am – Brazeau County – Complainant advised they were driving on the highway when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
12:42 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting theft of vehicle keys. Break and enter to apartment.
1:26 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting a white flatdeck truck is swerving on the highway. Vehicle located by Evansburg members. Driver warned about manner of driving.
1:34 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting son missing. Hasn’t heard or talked with him for two weeks. Matter is being investigated
3:51 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting they observed an individual driving. Members patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
4:20 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Complainant attended detachment to report ex has threatened to report they were assaulted.
5:06 pm – Drayton Valley – 48 Avenue – Ongoing landlord Tenant dispute. Tenant is in house gathering their belongings, landlord is outside residence trying to get in. Members attended and advised landlord that they needed to go through proper channels in order to evict an individual.
6:09 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reported theft of I phone yesterday. Member attended location. Known male is suspect. Members attended known residence and arrested male for theft.
7:30 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting possible stolen property. Multiple bags of junk and copper wire. Member attended and seized items.
7:44 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting an injured coyote on the highway, keeps on going on and off the Highway. Member patrolled the area, coyote not located.
7:49 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting a dark colour GMC Sierra is swerving all over the road. Members patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
8:46 pm – Drayton Valley – Request for members to conduct a wellbeing check.
10:28 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting suspicious activities out side their residence. Complainant can hear male voices outside. Members attended and patrolled the area, no vehicles or persons located.
October 5
9:42 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant called to report a dead coyote on the highway. Member attended and removed carcass from the road.
10:24 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting they were driving north on Hwy 22 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
11:05 am – Drayton Valley – 20 Avenue – Complainant attended the detachment with a bike that had been found by Scotty’s Esso.
12:38 pm – Drayton Valley – Wallet left at the door of the detachment. Owner contacted.
1:02 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Complainant was travelling south on Hwy 22 when they were cut off by a F150 and Ford Focus. All parties attended the detachment and got into a verbal altercation outside. Both parties were driving erratically.
3:53 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Complainant reporting a suspicious person in the bushes. Members attended and located known man who advised they were waiting for a employee. Male on conditions not to be on property. Member spoke with all parties. Male was also observed moving campaign signs. Male spoken to about this and advised to leave the signs alone.
4:28 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Complainant reporting a person living in an abandoned building.
4:39 pm – Brazeau County – complainant calling to report an employee missing. Member patrolled the area. Employee located in Parkland area and determined to be fine.
4:47 pm – Drayton Valley – 58 Avenue – Alarm at commercial site. Members attended, false alarm.
6:08 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Complainant reporting an aggressive youth at evergreen school. Male youth on a teal bike. Youth was being very disrespectful and yelling obscenities. Member attended, youth was gone prior to arrival.
9:17 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Complainant reporting they sold their phone a while back and forgot to delete their information. New owner is trying to activate the phone using previous owners information.
October 6
8:28 am – Drayton Valley – Beckett Drive – Member conducting school patrols conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for failing to stop
9:50 am – Complainant attended the detachment to report they were driving down the highway when their rim came off their truck causing the truck to fishtail and enter the ditch.
11:09 am – Drayton Valley – 43A Street – Complainant reporting a suspicious male scoping out yards in the area. Male is on a BMX bike wearing a black hat and black jacket. Members patrolled the area, no one matching the description was observed.
11:36 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant advised that they had ordered a Telus Hub and it had been shipped to the wrong address.
12:50 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no drivers licence and insurance.
1:24 ppm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for using cell phone while driving.
1:58 pm – Drayton Valley – Female attended detachment to turn herself in on outstanding warrants from EPS. Female released.
3:04 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant advised they were travelling on a Twp road when they collided with a farmer’s temporary fence.
5:14 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant called to report a suspicious black Chevrolet Truck. Members patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
6:22 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a suspicious trail of blood on driveway. Member attended, blood from a small animal which had been killed likely from another animal.
9:05 pm – Brazeau County – RR 73 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no registration.
10:05 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing they were having difficulty maintaining their lane. Driver issued a 3 day driving suspension and vehicle seizure.
10:26 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for speeding.
10:46 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting an erratic driver in a red van. Vehicle driver is speeding and slamming on breaks. Member to contact registered owner and speak to them regarding their manner of driving.
10:52 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for speeding.
October 7
12:18 am – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting they heard a loud bang. Member patrolled the area and located a semi truck that had blown a tire.
12:24 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no insurance.
12:51 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued violation ticket for muffler producing excessive noise.
1:43 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for speeding.
2:01 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for speeding.
3:11 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 621 – Complainant reporting cable cut.
