The Crusaders opened scoring in the third period though, when Austin Cook got the assist from Josh Rule and Bruce MacGregor, just a minute and 33 seconds into the third period. Then, with 35 seconds remaining in the period, the Thunder’s Dylan Price lit the lamp again, thanks to assists from Ty Whitford and Brett Bamber to tie the game and push it into overtime.
Sadly, however, the Crusaders scored 43 seconds into overtime for the 4-3 win. The winning goal was scored by Mitchell Joss with an assist from Tyler Bates and Logan Hauer.
