Two town councillors are seeking the mayor’s seat in Drayton Valley.
Town officials have confirmed that Nancy Dodds and Corey Peebles are running against each other for mayor. Dodds has served one term as councillor, while Peebles has served two non-consecutive terms.
Mayor Michael Doerkson is not seeking reelection.
12 people are seeking Drayton Valley’s six town council seats.
Running for reelection are Bill Ballas, Amila Gammana, and Thomas McGee. They are each seeking their second term.
Newcomers running for town council are Sean Akins, Colin Clarke, Richard John Evans, Andrew Miller, Darren Pinkoski, Isaiah Rye, Monika Sherriffs, Alvohn Snow, and Richard Snow.
