One man is in custody following a search of a property northeast of Drayton Valley on Aug. 26.
According to Drayton Valley RCMP, they recovered more than a quarter of a million dollars in stolen property. Some of the property included passenger vehicles, semi-trucks, various trailers, generators, a boat, and a mini-excavator.
RCMP have contacted the rightful owners of all the recovered property, and urged them to call their insurance companies to find out what steps to take next.
Colin Reid Rumsey, a 40-year old from the Drayton Valley area, was arrested on the scene and faces 12 charges of possession of property obtained by crime over $5000.
Rumsey is remanded in custody, and his next scheduled court date is on Oct. 5 in Drayton Valley Provincial Court.
