The Town of Drayton Valley has a new Chief Administrative Officer (CAO).
At a special meeting on Sept. 8, Drayton Valley town council awarded the position of Interim CAO to Robert Osmond.
Town officials say Osmond brings 15 years of experience to the position. Some of Osmond’s previous postings include Assistant County Manager for Lac St. Anne County, the Acting CAO for Wetaskiwin, and the Acting CAO for Redcliffe.
In a statement, Drayton Valley mayor Michael Doerkson praises Osmond’s hiring.
“Osmond brings a wealth of experience, and a leadership style that will assist us in achieving our strategic priorities and long-term goals for the community,” says Doerkson.
Osmond’s first day on the job will be Sept. 13.
