August 19
11:35 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Street – Report of a 2 vehicle collision, no injuries.
12:40 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – Report of suspicious activity. Members attended and arrested the suspect on unrelated warrants.
2:35 pm – Drayton Valley – Coach Motel – Police were called to do a wellbeing check on a resident who appeared to be missing. The resident was located in Morinville and spoken to be RCMP there.
5:22 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Truck broken down on the side of the road causing a traffic hazard. As police arrived, traffic cones were being placed.
6:16 pm – Drayton Valley – Power Centre Boulevard – Intoxicated person was dropped off at the location and was laying in the middle of the parking lot. Police attended and arrested the person for public intoxication and held until sober.
7:43 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of harassment, complainant unwilling to provide a statement regarding details, but wanted the other party spoken to.
10:00 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Report of a knock at the door, nobody there when the complainant answered. Police patrolled the area, nothing was located.
August 20
5:23 am – Brazeau County – Lodgepole – Police called to assist the fire department with a structure fire.
12:21 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report of a disturbance, members attended, all parties spoken to, no allegations of any offence.
1:01 pm – Drayton Valley – Power Centre Boulevard – 911 hang-up from a cell phone, police located the person who called, no emergency.
1:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Members on patrol observed a known individual enter a store. Members went in and observed male steal an item and leave the store. Male arrested for shoplifting.
1:26 pm – Drayton Valley – Ring Road/50 Street – Erratic, possibly impaired driver. Complainant observed a dark Blue older model Chevrolet Trailblazer with 2 occupants speeding excessively. Police attended the area, but could not locate the suspect vehicle.
6:53 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report of an erratic driver. Driver spoken to and warned at the request of the complainant.
6:46 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant calling to report ex had attempted to get into their residence. No entry gained.
6:53 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant called to report they were almost sideswiped by a white cavalier. Vehicle had crossed the solid line and cut them off. Complainant wanted driver warned. Members contacted driver and warned about their driving habits.
7:50 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Complaint of an unleashed dog at the park. When members attended, the owner had the dog on a leash.
9:50 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for speeding.
10:07 pm – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for speeding.
10:26 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Collision between a vehicle and an elk. Nobody in the vehicle was injured.
10:43 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Vehicle that was reported stolen out of Breton was located unoccupied and towed. The owner was advised.
10:59 pm – Brazeau County – Landfill – Report of a missing person lost in the wood. Police were able to call the missing person who was able to find their way to the landfill where members picked them up and transported them to the detachment.
11:28 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Complaint of a group of intoxicated people leaving the bar, complainant thinks they are going to drive. Members attended the area and could not locate the potential suspects or any vehicles belonging to them.
August 21
12:43 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Stunting/dangerous driving in a parking lot. A truck has a shopping cart tied to it with people inside driving around. Police located the vehicle, not running and not occupied. Complainant unwilling to provide a statement to support possible charges.
12:44 pm – Drayton Valley – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued violation ticket.
1:34 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Vehicle stopped for a routine traffic offence, the driver failed to comply with a roadside screening device demand and was subsequently issued a suspension under the Immediate Roadside Sanctions for refusing to comply with a roadside demand which carries a penalty of $1000 for a first offence and a 90 day driving suspension followed by a 12 month participation in the interlock program, as well as a 30 day vehicle seizure.
3:48 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a possible impaired driver. Complainant reporting a light colou5red older pickup truck nearly hit them. Vehicle not located.
8:16 am – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Police attended a residence to keep the peace while property was picked up.
10:40 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Call of people fighting outside a business. Police attended, separated all parties and spoke with everyone, no charges.
3:36 pm – Brazeau County – Near Dam – Police and EMS attended to an ATV collision. One occupant was injured and transported to Drayton Valley Hospital.
4:55 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Member on patrol was stopped by individual who wanted information on no contact orders. Member provided information to individual.
7:31 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of an intoxicated person walking down the road. Police located the person and after attempting to find alternate arrangements, arrested them for public intoxication and were lodged until sober.
7:38 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Avenue – Police were called to conduct a wellbeing check at a residence. Police attended, no immediate concerns were noted.
8:50 pm – Brazeau County – Pembina River – Caller reporting she was floating down the river with friends but got separated and now doesn’t know where she is. Police attended and located the stranded rafter and assisted with getting her to EMS for assessment.
9:09 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Report of possible underage drinking in a park. Police located several people, including some youths drinking. All warned about possible offences, and parents to be advised as well.
August 22
1:32 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report of an audible alarm heard in the area. Members attended, located the source, contacted property rep who confirmed it was an ongoing issue.
9:37 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – BE 3600IE Generator stolen from the bed of a truck sometime overnight. Video surveillance obtained, investigation ongoing.
11:17 am – Drayton Valley – 48 Street – Complainant calling to report an assault. Members attended, male arrested and charged. Held for a hearing and released by the Justice.
1:37 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Call of an assault that took place at the bar the night before. The complainant does not want charges, just the other party spoken to.
2:39 pm – Drayton Valley – Calgary Police requested assistance in locating a missing person that may be in Drayton Valley. Members determined the missing person was located earlier by another detachment and was safe.
4:31 pm – Brazeau County – Twp 492 – Damage done to lease site and copper wire stolen.
5:08 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – 911 hang-up from a business landline. Members attended, staff confirmed number was not theirs, attempts to call the number were unsuccessful.
8:57 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report of an audible alarm heard in the area. Members attended, located the source, and confirmed to break-in had occurred.
9:06 pm – Violet Grove – Complainant calling to report an assault. Members attended, no signs of assault. Parties separated for the night.
10:04 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Call of vehicle stunting in the parking lot. Vehicle described as a Dark coloured GMC truck with a light bar on the back tailgate. Members attended, the vehicle was no longer there.
10:55 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Alarm from a business, same location as several earlier alarms, property rep requested no police attendance.
August 23
1:10 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Members called to report of harassing communications. Call stemmed from earlier incident in which male was removed
1:29 am – Drayton Valley – Members called to assist hospital staff with locating male. Male located .
6:48 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Call of a deceased deer on the road causing a traffic hazard. Member attended and removed the deer.
8:27 am – Drayton Valley – Aspen Landfill – Report of a trespasser, police attended and located a male who was arrested for outstanding warrants out of Edmonton and was charged with trespassing.
9:30 am – Drayton Valley – 55B Avenue – Complainant reporting an unwanted person on a rental property. Members attended and male arrested on outstanding warrants.
11:05 am – Drayton Valley – Members located known male and served court documents
12:01 pm – Drayton Valley – Members assisted EMS with male who was later transported to Ponoka for assessment
12:06 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Complainant reporting known person broke into their residence and stole their cat. Member spoke with known person who agreed to give the cat back.
1:49 PM – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting people have been dumping copper wire insulation in the dumpster. Member viewed footage and is able to identify known male.
4:23 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting a hit and run near Hwy 22 and Hwy 39. Driver fled eastbound towards Leduc. Suspect vehicle is a white older Ford Truck with black trim on the bottom.
4:24 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting an erratic driver in a Ford Dually. Vehicle is speeding and weaving in and out of traffic. Members patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
5:30 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a semi truck passed them in the passing lane and sprayed water on them which almost caused them to lose control. No damage to vehicle.
5:43 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting their2001 Black dodge Ram with black utility trailer was stolen sometime overnight.
7:53 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting a suspicious male on a bike, wearing all dark clothing and has a back pack.
9:07 pm – Drayton Valley – Madsen Avenue – Police were requested to assist EMS with a transport.
August 24
12:26 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a vehicle nearly striking two pedestrians. All parties spoken to, driver warned.
1:40 pm – Brazeau County – General driving complaint, members made patrols.
3:13 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant calling to report they found a burned out vehicle. Vehicle was identified as stolen GMC Yukon from Breton.
4:11 pm – Drayton Valley – complainant called to report they haven’t paid their hotel bill and the hotel is trying to kick them out. Members attended and spoke with all parties involved.
5:58 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant calling to report a breach of an order. Individual had tried to contact complainant when on an order not to do so. Complainant wished individual to be spoken to.
7:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Second complaint received regarding individual not paying their bill at hotel.
11:17 pm – Cynthia – Complainant calling to report a male driving an older brown Chevrolet Truck and hauling a trailer is driving around town revving the engine and squealing the tires. Members attended and located truck in the ditch.
August 25
12:17 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant called to report neighbour is shining headlights at house. Member attended area, no vehicles located with headlights on.
1:02 am – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Complainant reporting a suspicious male. Complainant saw male looking in their backyard. Male is wearing a dark hoodie, coveralls. Members attended and patrolled the area. Male not located.
2:15 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Complainant reporting an assault. Members attended, known male arrested and charged. Held for hearing.
6:52 am – Cynthia – Complainant reporting theft of trailer from yard. White office trailer taken.
7:53 am – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Complainant reporting a disturbance. Known male is high on drugs and calling people telling them there are people trying to kill him. Members located male and calmed him down. Male was fine.
8:1- am – Drayton Valley – complainant called to advise their landlord was verbally abusive towards them. Member attended and provided a courtesy ride to complainant.
9:51 am – Brazeau county – Complainant attended the detachment to report that they were southbound on the Sunchild Highway when a passing truck and trailer caused damage to their vehicle as various items flew out of the trailer.
10:09 am – Cynthia – Complainant called to report a vehicle in the ditch. Members had attended the previous night and located the vehicle. Member contacted the registered owner who advised they would move the vehicle.
10:13 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Complainant requesting assistance to gather belongings. Member attended and kept the peace.
10:36 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting they found a trailer on the edge of their property. Member notified company who attended and retrieved trailer.
10:40 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol had attempted to conduct a traffic stop earlier with a white ford ranger. The vehicle had taken off and located later on. Vehicle towed.
12:01 pm – Drayton Valley – 57 Avenue – Complainant reporting a collision that occurred on the 6th of august. Complainant was operating a pickup truck and trailer when they hit a parked car.
12:16 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting they are behind on rent and landlord is requesting payment.
1:16 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting a erratic driver in a white Cadillac escalade. Members patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
2:19 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting they were driving south on Hwy 22 when 2 deer came out of the ditch and collided with the vehicle.
4:26 pm – Brazeau County – Complaint received of a male with a knife at the cemetery. Members attended and located known male from a previous complaint in the day. Male was waving a machete around. Male arrested.
4:27 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Complainant reporting a disturbance and threats. Known male was attempting to get into the residence, knocking on windows. Members attended
5:26 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting a suspicious male walking by with no pants. Members attended and located known female who was wearing shorts. Female was looking for a place to stay for the night.
7:31 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Complainant reporting a disturbance. Individual is intoxicated and getting aggressive. Members attended, both parties spoken to and separated for the night.
7:34 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant requesting a wellness check on children. Members attended, children were fine.
9:37 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – Complainant called to report they were flagged down by youth who advised there was going to be a consensual fight at the skate park. Members attended to assist.
11:00 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting suspicious males loitering around. Complainant caught one of them trying to get into their truck, dog scared them away. Member attended, nothing taken or damaged.
August 26
12:01 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting car alarms going off at the dealership. Members attended and located one vehicle with alarm going. No further signs of disturbance. No damage to vehicle.
1:31 am – Drayton Valley – request to assist fire on scene at the recycling bin on fire. Members attended, fire extinguished.
2:06 am – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Complainant calling to report a disturbance. Members attended and located a female. Members located the male and arrested for assault.
