Monte Waronek has died. The owner of the Drayton Valley Thunder pass away last Tuesday, July 27.
In a statement on the Drayton Valley Thunder’s website, the team says that Monte was “a kind, caring, intelligent man with an infections laugh who brought joy to everyone he met. He leaves behind an incredible legacy – a beautiful family and a community that will truly miss him.”
The team also extends their condolences to his wife Cindy and his entire family.
A Celebration of his life will be held on Monday, August 9, at the MacKenzie Conference Centre.
