July 29
8:17 am – Drayton Valley – 64 Street – Complainant reporting an abandoned vehicle. Member attended and located a grey Chevrolet Tahoe with a broken window. Vehicle towed. Registered Owner contacted.
1:09 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Complainant calling to report their 10 year old son missing. Complainant called back shortly after to advise son had been located.
1:14 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant calling to report vandalism at the landfill. Refuse was lit on fire.
1:21 pm – Brazeau county – RR 82 – Complainant attended the detachment to report suspicious vehicles around property. Member advised they would make patrols in the area.
1:29 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – 911 open line from pharmacy. Member attended, no issues.
7:10 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting 3-4 people are in a trailer breaking things. Member attended and spoke with former owner who was on site. Trailer is condemned, no persons should be there and advised individuals to not return or violation tickets would be issued.
11:04 pm – Drayton Valley – Omniplex parking lot – Complainant reporting 3 vehicles by the rodeo grounds are stunting. A Blue Subaru, white Pontiac. Member attended and located 2 of the 3 vehicles. All drivers were warned about their manner of driving.
July 30
1:59 am – Drayton Valley – Members on patrol located a male who was wanted on outstanding warrants from Edmonton. Male arrested
3:01 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a Blue GMC truck had drifted into their lane. No lights. Members patrolled the area and located the vehicle. Traffic stop initiated. Driver charged with going through a red light.
8:31 am – Brazeau County – Cynthia – Driving complaint, vehicle with a BC plate. Patrols made, vehicle not located.
10:40 am – Brazeau County – Cynthia – Police were flagged down and requested to do a welfare check on a property. Police attended, the occupant answered the door and was fine.
1:12 pm – Drayton Valley – 58 Avenue – Attempted break-in to a shed overnight.
2:02 pm – Drayton Valley – Meier Avenue – Report of a possible assault, 4th-hand information, investigation determined no assault had taken place.
2:03 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Street – Stolen vehicle from Rimbey recovered.
2:22 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Report of found/discarded property. Members unable to attend at the time of call, believed to belong to some of the homeless population.
2:22 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Avenue – Abandoned vehicle, appeared to likely have broken down and was being worked on.
2:57 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 Avenue – Report of possible drug activity in a vehicle. Police attended and spoke with the occupant, no signs of impairment or drugs in the vehicle.
6:52 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 Avenue – Abandoned vehicle behind a business. There was a note on the vehicle stating it needed a boost and they would be coming back.
7:44 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Vehicle swerving on the highway travelling north towards Evansburg. Vehicle not located.
9:47 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Family dispute, intoxicated female causing issues, screaming, jumping in and out of the vehicle. Police attended, the female was arrested and held in custody until sober, no charges.
10:50 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Driving complaint, 3 vehicles, driving erratically and fast. Police patrolled the area, unable to locate the vehicles matching the description.
July 31
12:44 am – Drayton Valley – Omniplex – Report of stunting vehicles, not located.
12:29 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Call of an impaired driver. Police located the vehicle, driver passed a roadside sobriety check but was found to be on warrant. The driver was arrested and held for a Judicial Interim Release Hearing where they were released on a $500 promise-to-pay Release Order for court for August 17, 2021 in Drayton Valley.
4:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting that a vehicle is following them “everywhere”. Caller was uncooperative with police and unable to provide any relevant details to an offence other than a vehicle driving by on one of the main roadways in town.
10:35 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 621 – Report of a gun shot heard approx. 1 hour prior. Police were unable to locate the source.
August 1
1:48 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Call of a driver passed out in a vehicle by the bar. Police attended, confirmed occupant was sober and was just waiting for a staff member to finish their shift.
2:32 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – member on patrol observed/recognized a silver Buick 4 door, suspected the driver may have a warrant. Member caught up to the car to conduct a traffic stop, car fled the area at high speed. No pursuit initiated, Breton RCMP advised
5:06 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Report of a vehicle that rolled on it’s side. The complainant helped them right the vehicle which then left and the complainant called the police. Members attended, no evidence of an offence at this time.
7:18 am – Drayton Valley – 43 Ave – Complainant reported a suspicious male walking West, appeared agitated. Male last seen entering a nearby restaurant. Member attended, male was gone.
7:33 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 by Dam – Complainants reported a silver BMW off road with front end damage, possibly hit the guardrail. Member attended
9:27 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant turned in a wallet located near 54 St on the road. Owner of wallet contacted and picked it up
10:41 am – Brazeau County – RR81 – Complainant reported a Jeep on fire, suspects were seen pushing the Jeep with a truck prior to police being called. Member attended with Fire Department, Jeep was reported stolen on July 17th. Under investigation
12:00 pm – Tomahawk area – Complainant reported a friend may be suicidal and requested a wellbeing check. Member located the female and determined she wasn’t suicidal, just venting about some stressful personal issues
1:36 pm – Drayton Valley – 39 St – Request from RCMP in Golden BC to check a residence for some overdue travellers. Member attended and spoke to a female who advised the couple had spoken to RCMP in Golden and all was well. Shortly after this was confirmed by member in Golden
3:05 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 621/Pembina River – Two complaints received of multiple vehicles parked along the highway. Member attended and found some already leaving, the remaining vehicles were visible and not on the highway
5:38 pm – Drayton Valley – Hwy 22/50 St N – Members attended to a three vehicle collision at location. Preliminary investigation determined that a north bound Corvette hit a truck and trailer turning into town, causing the Corvette to crash and hit a second pickup truck. No major injuries, Corvette is a write off. Alcohol and speed are believed to have been a factor. Charges are pending against a 47-year-old male
6:32 pm – Brazeau County – Cynthia – Complainant requested police remove his ex from his residence. Complainant not at the location due to conditions in place. Members unable to attend, complainant was advised that the landlord would have to evict the ex girlfriend who has been living at the residence
6:46 pm – Brazeau County – Paramedics requested assistance with a male who had been involved in a collision and was now at a residence. Members assisted with the male, suspected of being the driver of the Corvette that had crashed earlier
7:57 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Ave – Complainant reported three young boys walking alone. Member attended the area, the boys were gone. Member was able to confirm the boys were fine, that their parents had been watching from their nearby business
11:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 St – Complainant reported her husband missing, concerned as he has dementia. Complainant called back to advise her husband had been located and was fine
August 2
2:29 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Ave – Complainant reported intoxicated persons sitting in the box of a truck by the bar. The truck then left toward the Post Office. Member patrolled for 15 minutes, couldn’t locate the truck
9:12 am – Brazeau County – Twp Rd 494/Ski Trails – Complainant reports what he believes is a bullet abrasion on his trailer. Heard a noise around 11:00 pm the night before. Member attended, no evidence located.
11:20 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Ave – Complainant requested assistance in retrieving a mailbox key from his landlord. Under investigation
11:59 am – Drayton Valley – Industrial Road – Bailiff requested police assistance in evicting several tenants. Member attended, evictees argumentative and belligerent with bailiff but were evicted
3:56 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 39 – Complainant reported a white van almost causing a head on collision, complainant had to swerve into the ditch. Members attended and located the van parked, with the driver sleeping in the back. The driver was issued a 24 hour suspension from driving due to fatigue
4:44 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Ave – Complainant reported a possible domestic; male and female screaming, kids yelling. Members investigated and found no domestic issues, incident related to a child who had been screaming after his Nintendo was taken away
4:51 pm – Drayton Valley – Industrial Road – Members attended to assist EMS with an overdose. Male had overdosed on fentanyl and was in care of paramedics already
5:52 pm – Brazeau County – Twp Rd 504 – Member responded to an open-line 911 call, a dog could be heard panting in the background. Homeowner located across the road loading horses, call believed to have originated from the panting dog
7:31 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Ave – Member attended a residence to conduct a curfew check on a female. Female wasn`t home as required, charge pending
August 3
12:02 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave/Hwy 22 – Member on patrol observed a suspicious truck with tires in the back and no taillights. Member attempted a traffic stop but the truck took off at a high rate of speed heading North on Hwy 22. Member attempted to at least get the plate number, but was unsuccessful. Truck last seen heading West on Twp Rd 494
2:08 am – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Members responded to a business alarm. Confirmed B&E occurred. Under investigation, surveillance video obtained
3:08 am – Drayton Valley – Coach Motel – Member observed a suspicious truck in the rear parking lot; early 2000’s Chevy, dark blue/silver on the bottom and a slip tank in the bed. Member attempted to obtain the plate number, truck pulled out of the lot dangerously and took off on 50 Ave. Member attempted to catch up for a traffic stop but vehicle ran the red light at Hwy 22 and sped off toward Breton. Member went back to the Coach Motel and spoke with a male who was not cooperative. Video obtained but not helpful
7:47 am – Tomahawk – Complainant reported attempted theft of fuel overnight, damage done to tank and hose. Two suspects located and arrested, charges pending
9:42 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported his son making threatening comments, likely due to mental health issues. Members attended and arrested the son under the Mental Health Act and then transported him to an appropriate facility
10:18 am – Drayton Valley – Hwy 22 – Complainant reported the yellow flashing lights had been pushed back at the West side of town and not returned. Member spoke to highway maintenance who advised they had already been returned to the proper position
10:58 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported the theft of a vehicle, occurred 3 weeks earlier. Complainant yelling at dispatcher. Member determined that two prior files already existed from Leduc RCMP and that it was a civil issue. Still a civil issue
12:22 pm – Brazeau County – Twp Rd 492 – Complainant reported an abandoned truck, complainant concerned about illegal dumping and trespassing in the area. Member attended and determined the owner of the truck had permission to be there from property owner
12:27 pm – Wolf Lake Rd – Complainant attended the Grande Prairie RCMP to report a truck stolen from a gas plant. Occurred sometime between June 10 and August 1, truck had been parked at the location for about 5 years
12:58 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant reported her license plate stolen
1:34 pm – Lodgepole – Complainant reported a suspicious truck possibly scoping out properties. Member attended and located the truck unoccupied but running. The truck was towed and a firearm was seized. Under investigation
2:11 pm – Drayton Valley – Sexual assault investigation initiated
2:58 pm – Drayton Valley – 55 Ave – Complainant reported two suspects broke into his truck around 3 am. Suspects identified but insufficient evidence to charge
3:19 pm – Drayton Valley -42 Ave – Complainant reported a male acting strange and possibly breaking into yards. Members located the suspect who is known to police and has some mental health issues. Under investigation
4:16 pm – Drayton Valley – Greenwood Trailer Park – Complainant reported his phone missing, requested police ping it. Police unable to request such a ping, Phone pinged to a location known to be unoccupied
7:32 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported a possible parking lot fight. Members responded and located two known females who said they had been in a yelling match. This was confirmed by witnesses located nearby
8:25 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Complainant witnessed several traffic offences by the driver of a silver car. Complainant obtained the license plate and will provide a statement. Tickets to be issued
9:29 pm – Drayton Valley – Industrial Road – Complainant reported two persons who had been evicted from a building had returned. Member attended, the two were collecting belongings and were cooperative. Complainant was found to be quite intoxicated
August 4
12:04 am – Drayton Valley – Member conducted a curfew check on a male who was not home as required by conditions. Charge pending
1:04 am – Drayton Valley – Industrial Road – Complainant requested police check on her daughter due to comments were made indicating the daughter was fearful for her safety. Daughter located, no issues
1:10 am – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Member on patrol observed a vehicle make unsafe turn, nearly hitting police vehicle. Traffic stop conducted, driver blew a “fail” roadside. Driver issued provincial sanctions, license suspended and vehicle towed
4:01 am – Drayton Valley – 49 St – Complainant reported hearing persons in the apartment of a recently deceased female
9:23 am – Drayton Valley – 49 St – Complaint related to above of persons in an apartment. Members attended and located two persons who claimed they were assisting with cleanup. Female was told to leave, the male was arrested on an outstanding warrant
9:26 am – Drayton Valley – RCMP – Assist Brazeau County Peace Officers by adding a warrant to police data base
9:27 am – Drayton Valley – Request from a BC RCMP detachment to obtain a victim statement from a female living locally. Under investigation
10:21 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reported theft of a battery from a solar system at an oilfield site, occurred over the past two weeks
12:24 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Ave – Complainant reported finding property belonging to several persons. Member attended and retrieved the property. Under investigation
1:50 pm – Cynthia – Complainant requested assistance in retrieving belongings. Male is on conditions preventing this from happening, male advised to obtain permission from his probation officer
2:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported he was struck by a dark grey 4 door car while at the Shell station on his bicycle. Driver asked if he was okay but left prior to providing any of her information
2:54 pm – Drayton Valley – Power Center Blvd – Store staff reported two different incidents of shoplifting that occurred in the past couple weeks. Under investigation
3:41 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported that during custody exchanges his ex is trying to incite negative responses from him. Both parties spoken to, advice given
3:54 pm – Drayton Valley – Ring Road – Member attended to assist Town Peace Officer who had a youth detained for riding his dirt bike on the sidewalk. The youth tried to escape through heavy brush but fell off his bike; though two friends did escape. The youth was issued a ticket and his bike was towed. Under investigation
3:58 pm – Drayton Valley – Walmart – Complainant reported a black Ram pickup with dogs inside. Member attended but truck not located
4:12 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 Ave – Complainant reported his neighbour uttering threats and being mentally unstable. Members attended and arrested the male under the Mental Health Act. The male was transported to Ponoka for treatment
5:36 pm – Brazeau County – RR75 – Complainant reported that her ex had sent troubling photos to his girlfriend indicating he may be suicidal. Members were unable to locate the male until the next morning, at which time it was determined he was not a danger to himself but had been arguing with his girlfriend
6:14 pm – Drayton Valley – 56A St – Complainant reported that someone drove through her yard hitting an electrical box and part of her trailer. Under investigation
6:50 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Ave – Complainant reported that her son was cutting himself. Members attended but found no evidence to support the claim. Son decided to go to a friends house
7:38 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported she was being harassed by one of two sisters at the Coach Motel. Members unable to attend due to priority matters
10:15 pm – Drayton Valley – RCMP – Complaint from a taxi company that an intoxicated male had been in their cab for over 2 hours, currently passed out. Members took the male into custody and he was held in cells overnight to sober up
10:50 pm – Drayton Valley – RCMP – Assist Fort St John BC RCMP with service of a subpoena
11:34 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Ave – Members responded to a physical dispute between son and mother. Son complained he had been assaulted by mom. Members arranged for the son to spend the night with a friend, CFS referral made. Grandmother will followup in the morning
August 5
12:12 am – Drayton Valley – 45 Ave – Member on patrol advised of a bike stashed in trees. Bike recovered and taken to the detachment
7:05 am – Parkland County – Tomahawk area – Complainant reported an unknown person on a farm property, pictures sent to him by surveillance cameras. Members attended and checked the property and the area but found no suspects
