Officials with Environment and Climate Change Canada (ECCC) have issued a Special Weather Statement for most of the province as winter weather returns to Alberta.
Heavy, wet snow is expected to begin falling the evening of Wednesday, March 26, and intensify on Thursday morning. Officials say there is also a chance of freezing rain Thursday afternoon.
Experts predict there will be snowfall of up to 20 cm across central Alberta, with 25 cm expected closer to the Rockies and west-central Alberta.
More information can be found on theĀ ECCC website.
