July 15
10:10 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Ave – Complainant reported the theft of a security camera. Under investigation
12:22 pm – Drayton Valley – Hospital – hangup 911 call from location. Member attended, no emergency. Recurring issue
12:23 pm – Drayton Valley – 48 St – Complainant reported harassment by an ex of an acquaintance. No charges, parties spoken to and given advice/direction
2:11 pm – Drayton Valley – Meier Ave – Complainant reported she lent her truck to an acquaintance a week ago and it hadn’t been returned and the suspect won’t return calls. Not a criminal matter but members assisted in finding a resolution
2:38 pm – Drayton Valley – Twp Rd 490 – Complainant reported a break-in to a storage unit, a number of items stolen. Under investigation
2:54 pm – Brazeau County – RR85 – Complainant reported harassment by his ex. Parties spoken to, no charges
4:50 pm – Parkland County – Twp Rd 510 – Member responded to a hangup 911 call from a residence. On attendance it was determined that children had been playing with the phone
7:05 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Ave – Complainant reported finding some possible stolen property. Under investigation
8:02 pm – Drayton Valley – 44 St – Complainant reported two female youth screaming and then getting into a car and driving away. Member investigated and determined the girls were fine, and were just expressing admiration for a good looking male who passed by
July 16
11:20 am – Drayton Valley – Industrial Road – Complainant reported a male hopping fences into a business property. Members attended, nothing stolen. Male located nearby after trying to evade police, male was warned to stay out of private property or face charges
12:45 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Members on patrol observed a male in the A&W drive thru who was known to not have a valid license. The male tried unsuccessfully to avoid police by entering a nearby car wash. The male driver was given a ticket and a court date for driving while suspended and the truck he was driving was impounded for 60 days.
2:16 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported a male trying to sell items believed to be stolen. Breton RCMP assisted and charged a 26-year-old male with possession of stolen property. The male was held for a bail hearing in Breton and released by a Justice of the Peace to appear in court at a later date
3:14 pm – Drayton valley – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Known male charged with driving while suspended.
5:41 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Ave – Members responded to a disturbance, family members arguing over custody and care of an infant. Not criminal, advice given and referral made to Child and Family Services
5:48 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 St – Member responded to a request by a parent to speak to her 6-year-old son about theft. The son allegedly took a toy from a cousin and then lied about it. Member spoke to the child about right and wrong and then showed off several “cool to a 6-year-old” parts of the police car, such as the flashing lights
6:50 pm – Drayton Valley – Skate Park – Complainant reported about 20 youth having a dispute with a few fist fighting. Member responded but didn’t locate any fights or disputes at the time
7:47 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Ave – Complainant reported her boyfriend at her residence throwing things. Male then left. Member attended, complainant disclosed elements of harassment but wouldn’t provide a statement or evidence. The male was located in his vehicle and issued provincial sanctions for driving while impaired
9:11 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Ave – Complainant reported an impaired female purchased liquor and drove away. Patrols made, vehicle not located, registered to a female residing in Leduc
10:21 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant reported a smaller four door car on Hwy 22 with bullet holes. Car was also allegedly driving below the speed limit and crossing the line. Members patrolled the area but didn’t locate the car. No plate or detailed description was provided
July 17
12:58 am – Brazeau County – County Office – Members responded to multiple alarm hits, along with a property representative. Alarms false, likely caused by storm and possible power blips
2:58 am – Brazeau County – RR73 – Member on patrol attempted to stop a truck and trailer. The driver failed to stop and took off south bound at high speed running stop signs before turning on Twp Rd 494 toward Hwy 22. No pursuit initiated. Members subsequently conducted a curfew check at a suspect’s residence and found he wasn’t home as required though a roommate said he was at the hospital. Member attended the hospital and confirmed the male was there. Under investigation
3:53 am – Drayton Valley – 58 Ave – Complainant reported headlights on a vehicle on, possibly persons in a business yard. Members attended and cleared the yard, no one found. Possible issue with the vehicle which had been involved in a collision
2:15 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reported a former roommate may attend his residence while he is in hospital and requested police make patrols. Patrols were made, roommate not located in the area
3:37 pm – Drayton Valley – 55 Ave – Complainant reported his blue/green 1997 Jeep Cherokee stolen overnight. Under investigation
6:25 pm – Brazeau County – Golf Course – Complainant reported three unwanted persons drinking alcohol outside and refusing to leave. While members were en route the suspects left
11:04 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Ave – Complainant reported unknown suspect hacked a Playstation account and were demanding a $50 Amazon gift card or they would “swat” her home. Member provided advice and direction. Unknown/very difficult to determine suspect identity
July 18
12:15 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant requested police check on a female for a possible domestic situation. Members attended and found the male involved had left and that the female was intoxicated and uncooperative. Charges pending as the male involved is on a no-contact condition from a previous incident
3:07 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 39 – Complainant reported a white Ford truck driving erratically, possibly impaired. Member located the truck which was being driven home by a designated driver. Driver provided a breath sample which showed no alcohol, driver complained of bright lights behind them, possibly from the complainant
10:26 am – Brazeau County – RR84 – Member responded to a hangup 911 call. No emergency
10:43 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle at Walmart. Red Ford fusion is in the parking lot. Vehicle had been running with the keys and all doors open. Member attended, occupants were taking pictures.
July 19
8:54 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Bailiff requesting assistance in removing a male from dwelling unit as they were being evicted. Members attended and were able to convince male to leave without issue.
10:03 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant calling to report a lost dealer plate.
2:52 pm – Brazeau county – RR 80 – Complainant calling to report theft of horse. Family matter, horse not stolen.
4:58 pm – Brazeau county – Complainant calling to report illegal dumping overnight. Litter appears to be the remnants of stripped wire. Member attended
5:06 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant called to report a suspicious male at the intersection of 50 Avenue and 50 Street. Male is pointing something at motorists. Male is wearing a grey carhart hoodie with an orange logo. Member attended location and patrolled the area. Male not located.
7:52 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant calling to report female is in a neighbouring yard hitting a tree with something. Members attended and spoke with known female. Member warned female about her behaviour.
10:43 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Complainant calling to report their truck stolen. Members located truck which would not stop. Vehicle driven to Sunchild and abandoned. Complainant advised.
11:33 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant calling to report the police were spying on them. Member contacted another individual who advised complainant was suffering from delusions.
July 20
8:28 am – Drayton Valley – MacKenzie Avenue – Complainant reporting suspicious persons around the pond. Persons were on bikes with Rubbermaid containers. Member attended location and patrolled in the wooded area and by the school. No one located.
12:13 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Complainant reporting their wallet stolen from vehicle while parked.
12:24 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 621 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for speeding.
1:32 pm – Brazeau county – Complainant reports being scammed. Complainant was asked to send “BIl money” via UPS. Matter is still under investigation.
2:58 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant attended the detachment to report their cell phone stolen.
5:34 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 620 – Complainant reporting a Dangerous Goods Truck had broken down. Not blocking the highway, was only for information.
7:01 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting a possible impaired driver. Individual known to members and is not impaired.
7:37 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant reporting a male walked a bike over to the fenced area, dropped the bike and then crossed the street to the Econorest.
10:27 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Complainant reporting a white truck behind a business with the lights on. Members attended and located a company truck. Vehicle not stolen and building secure.
11:00 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Complainant reporting a possible break and enter to a vacant residence. Member attended and cleared residence. Door does not latch properly.
July 21
5:44 am – Brazeau county – Complainant reporting theft of truck overnight. Vehicle is a Burgundy F350 with slip tank and tool box in truck.
8:30 am – Drayton Valley – 911 misdial received. Member contacted location, no emergency.
9:28 am – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Complainant reporting an erratic driver. Vehicle is a red Sunbird, almost hitting other vehicles when driving. Member conducted patrols and located vehicle. Traffic stop conducted. Driver issued a 24 hour suspension.
10:00 am – Drayton Valley – Complainant advised that while parked at the grocery store, there vehicle had been struck causing damage to their Grey Chevrolet Silverado.
11:23 am – Brazeau county – Complainant reporting a Black Dodge Ram truck is in the ditch. No one around. Member attended and located two males walking in the ditch. Males advised that they were conducting some environmental test in regards to the pipeline.
11:24 am – Drayton Valley – 41A Avenue – Complainant calling to request removal of female from premises. Member attended to keep the peace, however matter is civil in nature as it is a Landlord Tenant dispute.
2:40 pm – Brazeau county – Complainant attended the detachment to speak with member regarding threats received from nephew. Member spoke with complainant who provided a voice recording. No threats uttered, however member provided information on obtaining a restraining order.
3:07 pm – Cynthia – Complainant called to request assistance from members for a domestic issue. Angry text messages had been received. Complainant just wants to be able to go home and get things. Member spoke with both parties.
4:51 pm – Drayton Valley – 54 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for talking on cell phone.
5:11 pm – Drayton Valley – 41A Avenue – Complainant requested police assistance to keep the peace while they dealt with a landlord tenant issue. Member attended, both parties had an argument and the landlord wanted member to use police authority to enter the residence. Although it was explained that members could not arbitrarily enter a residence when no criminal act has occurred, the complainant was unhappy.
6:30 pm – Drayton Valley – Commercial alarm received, member attended, everything was secure, employee was working on the alarm system which had an issue.
7:54 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Complainant reporting male is climbing on trailers in a closed off yard. Member attended and located an employee who was setting up lighting for the evening to deter thieves.
9:48 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting ex stole money from bank account. Matter is under investigation.
July 22
12:01 am – Lodgepole – Complainant reporting a male had attempted to break into their truck and fled on foot. A female was with the male. Members attended and located a White Tahoe which was not registered. Vehicle towed.
2:48 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Complainant got into an argument with another individual and challenged them to a fight. Both parties were intoxicated. Parties separated. Complainant would not provide a statement.
