Brazeau County Reeve, Bart Guyon has been recognized by the federal government for his many years of service as a dedicated public servant.
Yellowhead MP Gerald Soroka presented the King’s Coronation Medal to Reeve Guyon at the council meeting on Tuesday, March. 4. This medal was created to mark the coronation of His Majesty King Charles III and is presented to individuals who have made significant contributions to Canada or to a particular province, territory, region of, or community in Canada or attained an outstanding achievement abroad that brings credit to Canada.
The nomination notes Guyon’s years of service as a Councillor and Reeve, his involvement in the creation of tax incentives and the Western Economic Corridor initiative, his “citizens first” philosophy and his willing to assist Brazeau County residents.
Since Brazeau County will become part of the Parkland riding in the next election, Brazeau County council also took the opportunity to thank MP Soroka for his years of service and presented him with a two-seat camp chair as a thank-you gift.
