Evansburg RCMP have recovered stolen property after executing a search warrant on a rural property.
Investigators say they received a tip that stolen property was listed for sale online and was being stored at a rural property near Evansburg.
On Jan. 23, Mounties executed a search warrant on a rural property located near Range Road 75 and Township Road 542, where they recovered a heavy RotoTilk Bucket for a backhoe that had been stolen from Parkland County.
Police say this investigation is still ongoing.
Albertans are encouraged to keep track of their VIN’s and serial numbers at home to assist with recovery efforts should a theft occur. RCMP say they are able to upload VIN/serial numbers of stolen items to the Canadian Police Information Centre (CPIC), which notifies officers across the country that an item has been stolen when running a VIN/serial number.
