Officials with the Village of Breton say they will be meeting with officials from the Wild Rose School Division on Tuesday, Jan. 21, to discuss the possibility of the Village retaining ownership of the newer parts of the elementary school as a recreational facility.
Should the Divison agree to the Village’s proposal, the Village would retain ownership of the library, the staff room, the music room and the gym, while the rest of the building would be demolished.
Village officials say this issue will be discussed at the monthly council meeting on Wednesday, Jan. 15 and are encouraging residents to attend the meeting to share feedback directly with council. Residents who are unable to attend the meeting on Jan. 15, can submit their concerns by emailing them to admin@breton.ca.
