The Town of Drayton Valley is refreshing its Municipal Development Plan (MDP) and is seeking feedback from community members.
According to the Town’s website, the MDP is the “big picture” document that details a 20+ year vision for the community.
Residents can choose to share their thoughts on the MDP ahead of time, or attend an in-person feedback session Thursday, August 1 at the Clean Energy Technology Centre.
The MDP is required by provincial legislation to be adopted by bylaw by every municipality, and communicates the long term desired land use for a community.
Current projects include 50 Ave. reconstruction, phase I of downtown revitalization and landfill waste footprint expansion.
The session at the Clean Energy Technology Centre runs 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Thursday, August 1.
Residents can also find more information on the MDP here.
