According to officials with the Town of Drayton Valley, Frank Maddock High School has received a Community Event Grant to help with the costs associated with hosting the 2024 Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association Curling Provincials.
The event takes place Feb. 21 to 24, which will see teams from across the province come to Drayton Valley for four days of intense curling competition.
The Alberta Schools’ Athletic Association (ASAA) is the governing body that oversees amateur athletics in schools for the province of Alberta. It is a voluntary, non-profit organization that has 405 member high schools as of 2023. It enforces policies as dictated by the provincial board of Governors.
