A financial audit has revealed that Brazeau County is in good financial shape.
That according to Phil Dirks, auditor with the Metrix Group who presented the results of the annual financial audit conducted earlier this year for Brazeau County council.
The audit shows the County has $50 million in assets, $18 million in liabilities, including $7.8 million in debt, and a remaining debt capacity of $34 million.
Furthermore, by law, all municipalities must be audited each year. Residents can expect the approved financial statements to be posted to the County website in the coming days.
