Alberta RCMP App – The AB RCMP mobile app is now available as a free download through the Apple App and Google Play Stores. The app does not track or monitor users in any way. It provides easy access to Online Crime Reporting, Crime Mapping, Detachment information, Project Lock Up, Crime Stoppers, as well as RCMP news and social media accounts.
Surveillance Camera Registry – If you have a surveillance system at your home or business, you can register it with the Drayton Valley RCMP to help officers identify locations that may have valuable evidence to aid in investigations. October 27
7:13 a.m. – Brazeau County – Highway 759 – Complainant called police to report that he had been sideswiped by a gravel truck and trailer. Truck did not stop but the complainant obtained the license plate. Truck registered to a company out of Edmonton. Members continue to investigate.
12:48 p.m. – Brazeau County – Township 503 – Complaint received of an abandoned vehicle on the complainants property that appeared to be stolen as the ignition was removed. Members attended and ran the vin, truck not stolen. While on scene, an individual on warrants was located at the property and was arrested.
10:00 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Report of a theft of an Amazon package left on the complainant’s front step. Package was left by the delivery guy and stolen prior to the owner coming home. Investigation is continuing.
October 28
9:52 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 54 Avenue – Report received of mischief to a vehicle. Complainant advised his truck, 2014 Grey Toyota Tacoma was scratched while it was parked outside his residence. Members continue to investigate.
October 29
11:11 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report received of an assault in front of the Drayton Valley Hotel. Two known females had got into an altercation and one had slapped the other across the face. Both parties had left the area. Matter is still under investigation.
11:44 a.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – complainant attended the detachment to report their ex was following them around town today. Complainant stated this was unusual and wished the other party spoken to. Member contacted the ex who was very unpleasant. Ex warned about continuing this behaviour.
12:24 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Member received a report of an assault. Individual had been issued a 24 hour eviction notice and when they went to inspect the apartment for cleanliness, the individual had pushed them out of the way and closed the door on them. Complainant advised to contact the landlord/tenant board for the appropriate way to evict a tenant. Civil issue.
October 30
1:06 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Complainant reporting they were assaulted by an unknown female outside the Drayton Valley Hotel. Members attended, complainant had minor injuries. Matter still under investigation.
9:18 a.m. – Rocky Rapids – Report received from third party of an individual having an emotional attack. Member attended residence to speak with individual, not home. Members attended another residence and spoke with individual who stated they were fine and slammed the door in the members faces after swearing at them.
November 1
3:51 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Report received of suspicious males outside the library. Two males in a red Chrysler were sleeping, both doors of the vehicle were open. Members attended and located the vehicle along with a known male and female. Male was intoxicated. Male given a 24 hour driving suspension.
9:04 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 54 Avenue – complainant reporting a deer leg on the sidewalk. Members attended. Deer identified, when asked who had done this to them, Billy BUCK declined to disclose their attacker and stated that they had simply gotten off on the wrong foot.
November 2
3:16 p.m. – Call received from school regarding possible assault on child. Matter is under investigation.
