Alberta RCMP App – The AB RCMP mobile app is now available as a free download through the Apple App and Google Play Stores. The app does not track or monitor users in any way. It provides easy access to Online Crime Reporting, Crime Mapping, Detachment information, Project Lock Up, Crime Stoppers, as well as RCMP news and social media accounts.
Surveillance Camera Registry – If you have a surveillance system at your home or business, you can register it with the Drayton Valley RCMP to help officers identify locations that may have valuable evidence to aid in investigations. September 15
12:27 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Pleasantview – Break and Enter of a vacated property reported to police. Individuals had been evicted from a trailer and locks changed. When the property manager returned the door had been kicked in. Police continue to investigate.
3:58 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Power Centre Blvd – Members dispatched to a complaint of a female stealing from Canadian Tire. Female departed in a grey Chevrolet Cavalier with Alberta License plate CKD 7257. Members attended and obtained video surveillance of the theft. Investigation continues.
September 16
9:09 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Report received of harassment from landlord. Complainant stated that they were evicted from the property, however, refused to leave as they had not received a notice. Complainant advised this is a civil matter and should be taken to the Landlord-Tenant Board.
9:54 a.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 621 – Request to keep the peace while property is re-staked as a result of a previous incident. Stakes are marking survey pins and underground electrical cables. Members attended, one stake needed to be replaced.
2:49 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – third party report of an assault received. Caller indicated they had observed a male in a vehicle punch a female in the face then drive off. Members patrolled the area, vehicle not located, other detachments in the area advised to be on the lookout for a dark Chevrolet Malibu.
10:05 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Power Centre Blvd. – Report received of an assault at store. Members attended and located male who appeared to have been punched in the face. Suspect left the scene in a white or grey 1 tonne pickup truck. Matter is still under investigation.
September 17
12:15 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 Avenue – Report received of a male with a weapon. Complainant stated they were at St. Anthony’s school and approached two males on bikes. One male showed the complainant what they thought was a knife or firearm. Complainant went home. Members patrolled the area, males not located.
12:50 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50A Street – Report received of a break and enter. Two individuals on bikes came to the east side of the property and began rummaging through the vehicles. One vehicle had the side window broken. Matter is under investigation.
10:53 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Report received of an assault. Complainant reporting they were assaulted by their landlord during a gathering. Landlord had already reported the incident. Verbal argument had turned physical. All parties spoken to. Complainant did not wish to pursue charges.
11:07 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Beckett Road – Report of a noise complaint received. Loud backyard party. Members attended, backyard wedding was occurring. Residents advised to turn down the volume. Newlyweds were congratulated.
September 18
12:15 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol observed a vehicle stunting in the parking lot. Traffic stop initiated, driver issued a violation ticket for no registration, transporting open liquor. Roadside demand given to driver who was a GDL driver and a fail reading was received. Drivers licence suspended for 30 days, vehicle seized for seven days. Three other occupants of vehicle were issued violation tickets as well including a 16-year-old female.
9:08 p.m. – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver given the roadside screening device and a fail reading obtained. Vehicle towed and driver issued a 30 day suspension. Driver was already on suspension for a previous impaired driving charge.
September 19
8:54 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Meier Avenue – Report of suspicious activity received. Complainant stated that they observed two individuals walking on Meier Avenue at approximately 2:00 am. They approached a camper trailer, nothing appeared damaged or disturbed, however, the latch was left open to propane bottle.
10:14 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Pleasantview Trailer Park – Report received of evicted tenants still living on the property and using power. Member advised that the bailiffs would be required to remove them. Member attended location and observed stolen property on scene. One vehicle that had been reported stolen on September 16 was recovered.
5:25 p.m. – Drayton Valley – Complainant calling to report they were frauded out of $2850. They were locked out of their bank account. Money had been taken from line of credit and then e-transferred. Matter is still under investigation.
September 20
5:42 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Madsen Avenue – Report received of a suspicious vehicle. Older Blue Trailblazer parked just east of the KFC. Members attended, three occupants all sleeping in vehicle. One female arrested on outstanding warrants.
4:13 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Report received of an assault. Two youth got into an altercation. Member spoke with both parties and their parents and advised them of the possible consequences.
September 21
7:15 a.m. – Drayton Valley – Broughham Drive – Report received of an unwanted person who circled around the complex on a bicycle and is now sitting under the veranda. Complainant stated you need a code to enter the complex and does not believe this person has a code. Members attended but the suspect had left prior to police arrival.
4:50 p.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Report received of a fraud. Someone sent the complainant $2000 and then hacked his bank account. Accounts have been shut down and complainant did not loose any money. Police continue to investigate this file.
September 22
00:59 a.m. – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Police were called to a fight at the Westwinds Motor Inn. One male had pushed the other male after he made racist comments. Both males highly intoxicated, told to go to bed.
