Officials say participants in the ART program, called Project Assistants (or PAs), will work full-time with a host organization in Alberta for eight months on a project which is contributing to climate change adaptation.
For the 2022-23 ART program cohort, officials note 26 positions available with organizations across the province. These positions are not limited to applicants with a background in environmental sciences.
Participants in this program will:
- Access in-depth learning on how climate change will impact Alberta
- Connect with a community of young professionals in your field
- Gain experience in a flexible, collaborative work environment
- Engage with diverse perspectives from across the province
Officials say the first and second cohorts of Adaptation Resilience Training work placements ran between 2020–22. Recent graduates from the University of Alberta, University of Calgary, University of Lethbridge and Olds College developed the inaugural training materials and contributed to organizations across the province.
