July 14
07:29 am – Parkland County – 514 Township – Police received a call from a female advising her ex-boyfriend was supposed to come pick up his stuff yesterday but he did not. She was going to be at work all day today and does not want him to come uninvited. Member advised this is a civil matter but would speak to her ex-boyfriend to see if they could come up with a plan that would work for both parties.
08:34 am – Brazeau County – Highway 22 – Vehicle vs deer reported to police. Driver was travelling up the river hill when Billy the buck ran into the passenger side of their vehicle.
09:21 am – Brazeau County – Highway 620 – Vehicle vs deer collision reported. Diver was travelling east bound on highway 620 when Billy the buck struck the front end of her vehicle.
09:34 am – Brazeau County – Highway 39 – Billy strikes again. Driver was travelling west on Highway 30 when Billy the buck entered the highway and collided with her vehicle. Had to have been a full moon to have Billy acting this crazy.
10:58 am – Drayton Valley – 45 street – Police received a call about mischief to their vehicle. Complainant reported damage to their driver side mirror and door frame. Member is following up with video surveillance in the area.
12:31 pm – Drayton Valley – Highway 22 – Complainant called police advising that his stolen truck was believed to have been spotted in Drayton Valley, travelling north on highway 22 past Boston Pizza. Members made patrols but where unable to locate the vehicle. Evansburg RCMP notified as it was travelling their direction.
12:51 pm – Drayton Valley – Complainant called police to report hat her license plate had been either lost or stolen. Investigation continuing.
1:20 pm – Brazeau County – Highway 621 – Complainant called police to advise that she is missing 2 cows, suspects they may have been stolen. Brand inspector and neighbors made aware. Livestock investigators consulted. Investigation in continuing.
1:39 pm – Brazeau County – RR64 – Complaint received of an intoxicated male passed out in the ditch at the location. Members attended and located the male who was extremely intoxicated. Male lives in rural property closest to where he passed out in the ditch. Members brought male back to the residence and requested his roommate not let him wander in his state.
3:03 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 street – Police were called about people trying to get into an abandoned residence at Chimo Apartments. Members attended, no one had made entry. Patrols made around the area for the individuals matching the description, but no one was located.
3:20 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 street – Police were dispatched to an irate male at DV Towing. Members attended, male was upset about not being allowed to drive his truck that had been towed by the RCMP for having no insurance away from the tow yard. In his irate state the male smashed the front door of the business and threatened the employee. Male arrested and charged for mischief and uttering threats.
3:35 pm – Brazeau County – Township 480 – Vehicle vs deer – Billy strikes a 4th time in one day. Driver was travelling west on Township 480 when Billy the buck stepped out and collided with her vehicle.
3:42 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 street – Complaint received of trespassing at a location that has been ordered by the health inspector to have no one living there. Complainant was slightly misinformed as individuals are allowed at the property until 9 pm to work on the place.
5:00 pm – Brazeau County – Highway 621 – A male known to police was observed driving on an ATV on Highway 621 by a Brazeau County Peace officer. Traffic stop attempted with the male as he is prohibited from driving any motor vehicle. Male fled from the traffic stop. Police followed up and arrested the male the following day for flight from police and drive while disqualified. Male held for judicial release hearing.
5:59 pm – Parkland County – Township 514 – Members received a call from the ex-boyfriend related to our 07:29 call. Male advised he is trying to get his stuff but his ex-girlfriend will no let him on the property so he does not know what to do. Stated he needs time to organize movers and a trailer but she is not co-operating with him. Members counseled both parties and they both agreed to having a month to get the belongings.
7:58 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 avenue – Members received a call for a well being check on a known male who was walking on 50th ave not making sense. Members made patrols for the male but were unable to locate him.
8:08 pm – Drayton Valley – Best Western Parking lot – Members called to a parking lot hit and run. Complainant advised he just watched a truck strike a parked vehicle in the parking lot and then drive and park across the parking lot away from the vehicle he just hit. Members attended and were shown both vehicles by the witness. Registered owners were both confirmed to be staying at the hotel. Driver who left the scene charged.
8:29 pm – Drayton Valley – Beckett road – Complaint received of a car speeding on Beckett road, no make/model or description given. Patrols made but no speeding car located.
10:10 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no registration.
10:45 pm – Drayton Valley – Industrial road – Complaint received to assist with an eviction. Member spoke with the complainant and explained that police do not just evict individuals at a manager’s request. They must go through proper court channels and then the bailiffs will assist. Members advised them to contact the landlord tenant board for further inquiries.
10:50 PM – Brazeau County – Residential panic alarm received. Members attended, alarm false.
July 15
00:32 am – Brazeau County – Highway 621 – Complaint received of a stranded motorist. Complainant was out of gas and did not have money for a tow. Members attended and provided enough gas to get complainant back to town.
01:52 am – Drayton Valley – 55st – Members received a call requesting a well being check on her daughter. Complainant is well known to police and suffers from mental health issues. Daughters are with other family members and are safe.
7:47 am – Drayton Valley – Report of break and enter to construction site. Angle grinder stolen. Suspect identified.
9:04 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Known male was walking towards Eldorado School and when crossing the street was almost hit by a vehicle. Male became irritated, complainant approached individual to see if they required assistance, male became increasingly angry, yelling at complainant and becoming erratic. Male left without issue. Members attended and spoke with male who agreed to hold their behaviour in check. Male arrested on outstanding warrants.
9:47 am – Drayton valley – 50 Avenue – Report received of 2 dogs outside residence barking and growling. Members attended and spoke with complainant, dogs were gone upon arrival of members. Members patrolled the area for the dogs, a Great Dane and a smaller dog, however they were not located.
10:14 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting neighbours ATV stolen, they had checked their C-Can, they noted the black tether cord that secures their 3 snowmobiles had been cut and taken. Complainant suspects individuals will return to take snowmobiles. Unknown suspects.
11:09 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Complainant advised that they were driving on Hwy 22 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
11:19 am – Drayton Valley – 44 Avenue – Member observed vehicle failing to stop before entering intersection. Member initiated traffic stop and driver issued a violation ticket.
11:20 am – Drayton Valley – complainant attended the detachment to report they had sold their trailer last year and had not taken the plate off. New owner is now using the trailer plate and has not registered trailer.
3:29 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Street – Member on patrol observed an older model purple Dodge Dakota attempting to park in angled stall outside the OCT. Vehicle crashed into a parked Dodge Caravan and left the scene, parking on the other side shortly after. Member attended and located driver who was subsequently charged with impaired driving. Vehicle towed.
3:48 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 39 – Complainant reporting an erratic driver in a Blue Sante Fe. Vehicle is weaving in and out of traffic and passing on double solid line. Member patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
6:53 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report received of a child being struck by a vehicle in alley behind Oriental Express. Child taken to hospital to get checked out, no injuries, child shaken up. Driver of vehicle stated that they were driving when a child ran out and collided with the side of their vehicle.
6:55 pm – Brazeau County – RR 73 – Complainant reporting a suspicious vehicle. Vehicle is a white ford F150 that is parked in the ditch. Members attended and located vehicle with two occupants. Vehicle had run out of gas and they were waiting for someone to bring gas to their location.
7:41 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Report received of a dangerous driver in a silver Volkswagen. Vehicle is speeding through town. Members patrolled the area, vehicle eventually located and driver given a warning regarding their driving behaviour. Violation ticket issued for improper licence plate.
8:44 pm – Brazeau County – Report received of a suspicious vehicle. Dark coloured pick up truck was doing doughnuts on a gravel road. Members patrolled the area and located vehicle. Traffic stop initiated, driver stated they were chasing the storm.
9:15 pm – Drayton Valley – Walmart – Request for members assistance to remove individual from store. Female appeared to be intoxicated by something. Member attended and located known female who was looking to buy shoes and cell phone accessories. Female had money to pay for items.
10:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Commercial alarm at Rotary House. Members attended, everything secure, likely alarm set off as a result of severe storm passing through.
10:36 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of a fight at the coach Motel. Members attended and located two brothers, heavily intoxicated fighting until one fell over. Ongoing issue. Both parties arrested for public intoxication and held in detachment cells until sober.
10:49 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol queried a licence plate which had come back to a stolen vehicle by Edmonton Police Service. Traffic stop initiated. Vehicle had been stolen previously and recovered. Vehicle had not been removed from system.
11:05 pm – Brazeau County – RR 71 – Report of an erratic driver in a jacked up pickup truck towing a holiday trailer. Vehicle is swerving all over the road. Patrols made, vehicle located. Driver spoken to and a warning given.
July 16
1:40 am – Brazeau county – Hwy 620 – Report of a suspicious Ford Truck, broken lights, cracked windshield, vehicle is driving very fast. Member attended, patrols made, vehicle not located.
3:30 am – Brazeau County – Twp Rd 501 – Report of horses running down the middle of Hwy 759. Members patrolled the area, no horses located, however signs of horses loose were observed. While patrolling members observed a female with a flashlight. Female identified as horse owner who was attempting to locate the last missing horse. Members located last horse and same returned. Coyote had startled the horses and they had broken the fence.
12:16 pm – Brazeau County – Report of a gun shot received. Members advised complainant that on rural properties you were allowed to discharge a firearm as long as safety precautions were taken. Only one shot heard.
12:22 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Members were on patrol when they were waved down by male who advised they had found ammunition in their residence and wished to turn it over to police. Members attended residence and took custody of the ammunition for disposal.
1:57 pm – Drayton Valley – 50A Street – Report received of a possible break and enter. Further investigation revealed that the gate had been accidentally left open the previous night. Member attended, nothing unsecure or broken. Compound secured prior to leaving.
2:30 pm – Drayton Valley – 54 Street – Member on patrol observed a vehicle that had the two rear passengers doors held open with rope. Traffic stop initiated, impairment by drugs suspected. Upon search of vehicle, prohibited device located. Driver arrested and charged for possession of brass knuckles.
6:05 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol observed a vehicle drive through a stop sign. Traffic stop initiated and driver issued a violation ticket.
6:51 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting their ex had placed their belongings in the yard as previously discussed. Complainant was concerned that some of their belongings would be damaged by the rain. Members advised they could assist complainant with retrieval of belongings.
7:00 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of a barking dog received. Member attended and referred complainant to bylaw enforcement. Complainant advised that dog is continually barking and owners do nothing about it. Member attended and spoke with owner of dog.
7:30 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a person driving around without a licence. Member attended and located vehicle. Violation ticket issued for no drivers licence.
7:46 pm – Drayton Valley – 55A Avenue – Request received for a wellbeing check on child. Member attended and spoke with all parties involved.
8:44 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Report of a break and enter to shed within the past 2 weeks. Hydraulic pump stolen
9:05 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 street – Report of a suspicious female reported. Female is checking garage doors and looking in yards. Members attended and made numerous patrols in the area. Female not located.
9:47 pm – Brazeau County – Rr 80 – residential alarm reported. Members attended, shed door open. Area cleared. Owner was at residence who advised that the power had gone out causing the alarm to go off. No issues, alarm false.
10:27 pm – Drayton valley – 45 Avenue – Complainant received of excessive noise near the Omniplex. Outdoor concert going on.
July 17
1:53 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report received of individuals arguing at the Derrick Lounge. Situation resolved itself prior to police arrival. 2 individuals had left on their own.
1:53 am – Drayton Valley – 46 Street – Report of a dispute at neighbours. Two individuals are arguing outside. Members attended, one party intoxicated and became angry after playing a board game. Parties separated for the night.
2:20 am – Drayton Valley – Report received of an unwanted male outside residence. Male is intoxicated and combative. Members attended, two males had an argument which had escalated into a physical fight. Both parties located. One individual was arrested for public intoxication.
10:35 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report of a erratic driver in a Burgundy Dodge Ram. Vehicle is speeding and passing vehicles unsafely. Patrols made in area, vehicle not located.
12:40 pm – Drayton valley – 44 Avenue – Complainant reporting a Red Dodge Truck is blocking their driveway. Member attended, vehicle not blocking driveway. Member spoke with owner of vehicle who agreed to move vehicle.
1:45 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Complainant reporting they were driving on Hwy 22 when a large German Shepard came towards the vehicle and jumped in and would not leave. Complainant attended the detachment with the dog. While complainant was at detachment, members received a call about a missing dog. Dog picked up at the detachment.
1:47 pm – Drayton valley – 51 Avenue – Panic alarm received at restaurant. Member attended and advised the alarm had been pushed in error.
1:50 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – 911 open line with female requesting assistance. Female was talking nonsense. Members located female in a vehicle. EMS attended and transported female to hospital.
3:38 pm – Drayton Valley – Madsen Avenue – Request to assist EMS with erratic female from above file. Members attended the hospital. Female had become very aggressive with EMS. Members were en route when they were advised that they were no longer required.
4:23 pm – Tomahawk – Ongoing issue with neighbour dispute. This time, the report was that one neighbour was threatening the other with a hammer. Members attended and spoke once again with both parties. No threats had been received. Member advised all parties to avoid each other and let the court system deal with the issues.
5:28 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – third party report received of possible abuse. Child heard yelling in upstairs apartment. Member attended and spoke with neighbours who had not heard anything.
8:40 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 624 – Report of a suspicious grey ford parked in their driveway. Members attended and spoke with individual who advised they had run out of gas. Complainant provided individual with a half a tank of gas and they left.
10:16 pm – Drayton valley – 47 Street – Report received of a suspicious person on their property. Male is on a motorized bike. Bike had been left in the alley. Members attended and queried bike, not stolen.
10:34 pm – Brazeau County – hwy 759 – Report of a suspicious vehicle, Ford F150 with red and orange lights activated. Caller thought vehicle looked like a police vehicle. Members patrolled the area, vehicle not located.
July 18
2:01 am – Drayton Valley – 54 Street – Caller advised they had found a wallet with identification inside while walking on the trails at the Omniplex this evening.
8:42 AM – Drayton Valley – Madsen Avenue – Hospital staff advised that a female had left the hospital. Members attended area and made patrols. Female located and returned to the hospital.
9:32 am – Drayton Valley – Call received from the Child Exploitation unit advising that they had received a complaint from snapchat regarding a video that someone had attempted to send out. Snapchat had intervened and forwarded the image to the ICE unit. Matter is still under investigation.
10:11 am – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Report of financial abuse against an elderly person. Ongoing issue. Matter is under investigation.
10:55 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Street – Report received of persons living in a shed in the back alley. Personal belongings in shed. Male described as red hair and wearing a white t-shirt, female wearing a dark jacket. Members patrolled the area, individuals not located.
11:23 am – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Report of a family dispute. Complainant stated that brother has been yelling and swearing at mother. Brother had left prior to member arrival
11:31 am – Drayton Valley – Members received a report of an attempted theft of vehicle from a mechanical shop. Vehicle had been left for maintenance. When owner went to pick vehicle up, they noted that the driver’s door lock had been punched. Nothing stolen.
1:17 pm – Drayton Valley – 41 Avenue – Report received of a vehicle collision. Complainant stated that while they were out of their vehicle, it had rolled back and collided with another.
2:21 pm – Rocky Rapids – Request to assist fire department with a utility trailer on fire. Individual was filling gas tanks and the gas ignited lighting the trailer on fire. Fire extinguished.
7:34 pm – Tomahawk – Hwy 759 – Report of a calf at the baseball diamonds in Tomahawk. Members attended and spoke with individuals who advised that the calf had run into the bushes. Owner had showed up and was trying to get the calf. No calf seen in the bushes, it must have mooooved on.
10:09 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 620 – Report received of a dead deer in the middle of the highway. Member attended and removed the deer into the ditch.
10:11 am – Brazeau county – Hwy 624 – Complainant reporting they were travelling east on Hwy 624 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
2:18 pm – Drayton valley – 62 Street – Report received of an erratic driver in a black Dodge Ram. Vehicle was speeding and making a lot of noise. Member attended area and located vehicle. Traffic stop initiated. Driver given a warning regarding their driving behaviour.
3:08 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Report received of unwanted persons. Members attended and advised individuals that they were not wanted at the residence. Individuals left without issue.
3:58 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 Avenue – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no tail lights. Warning issued for no mud flaps.
5:27 pm – Drayton Valley – 50A Street – Report of an individual wanting their seized vehicle back. Individual advised that the vehicle will not be released. Member attended location.
6:33 pm – Drayton Valley – Report received of a family dispute. One male had been assaulted with a stool, threats uttered. Member attended location, male arrested and charged.
6:56 pm – Drayton Valley – 55 Avenue – Report of a male yelling behind store in the wooded area. Member attended area and patrolled. No persons or yelling heard.
10:43 pm – Drayton Valley – Request for a wellbeing check on individual who had not been heard from and couldn’t be reached. Member contacted individual who had not been feeling well and had been sleeping. Everything fine.
July 20
12:10 am – Brazeau County – Report received of a missing elderly female. Members conducted patrols. Police Dog Services and Edmonton Air one assisted with locating female. Female taken to hospital for assessment.
3:31 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Avenue – Report received of a female behaving erratically. Member attended, female experiencing distress. EMS attended and transported to hospital.
11:33 am – Drayton Valley – Report of a theft under $5000 received. Complainant reporting that a tenant stole some items from a C-Can.
2:35 pm – Rocky Rapids – Report received that an individuals vehicle was struck while on private property.
4:40 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Report of two mountain bikes stolen on July 19th. Bikes were stolen from their garage. Garage door had been left open. Also stolen were some golf clubs in a yellow golf bag.
5:03 PM – Drayton Valley – Individual attended the detachment to report a gift card scam. Complainant received a phone call advising that their credit and debit cards had been used for fraudulent transactions and they were to purchase gift cards to reverse the charges. Complainant provided the codes for the $1000 worth of gift cards purchased then realized it was a scam.
7:11 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 759 – Request to assist the fire department with a vehicle in the river. Member attended, driver of vehicle stated that they were getting the boat out of the water and went in too deep. Truck was towed out of the river.
7:46 pm – Drayton Valley – 58 Street – Report of a commercial alarm received. Members attended, all doors secure and locked. False alarm.
8:00 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Caller requesting information regarding ex’s property. They have put property in the garage until ex is able to retrieve it.
9:02 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Report received that unwanted female had left prescription at the local legion. Female had been asked to leave and left leaving behind the prescription bottle. Members attended, prescription bottle seized.
9:10 pm – Drayton Valley – Power Center Blvd. – Request for assistance in issuing a trespass ticket. Male has been banned from the store, however continues to attend with friends. Ban is as a result of male continually shoplifting items.
9:39 pm – Tomahawk – Ongoing neighbour dispute. Members are being called continually as the neighbours do not get along. This time, the neighbour called to report that the other had flipped their camera upside down. Members attended and viewed video footage which clearly shows another individual, not the neighbour, had flipped the camera. Both parties spoken to. Both parties advised to stop harassing each other and stop calling the police.
10:05 pm – Drayton Valley – 45 Avenue – Report of a silver Volkswagen Jetta with a broken windshield and a blue hood speeding around the area. Members attended the area and made patrols, the vehicle was not located.
July 21
12:21 am – Brazeau County – hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no registration.
2:12 am – Drayton valley – 53 Avenue – Report received that room mate had stolen property. Property includes a red suit case and cell phone. When they confronted the room mate, they were kicked out of the apartment. Members attended and spoke with both parties, who both accused the other of stealing from them.
4:01 am – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – Report received of a male and female throwing stuff around and making noise at #2 Center Court. Ongoing issues with the trailer which has been condemned by the health inspector. Members attended and spoke with complainant who was very frustrated with the individuals at the trailer. Members spoke with both male and female who left without issue.
