July 7th
7:48 AM – Drayton Valley – Report of theft from the construction site at the new pool. Suspects stole 2 air horns. Members attended and patrolled the area with negative results.
8:45 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting they were driving on RR80 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
12:00 pm – Drayton Valley – Individual attended the detachment and dropped off a tandem bike that had been spray painted blue. Attempting to locate the owner.
2:54 pm – Brazeau County – Report received of an assault which had occurred earlier in the morning. Complainant was uncooperative and refused to provide a statement.
3:25 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 620 – Complainant reported that they were travelling on the highway when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
5:20 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of a disturbance at a store. Male wearing blue jeans and a black sweater was asked to leave the store due to unusual behaviour. Male got upset and began throwing things. Members attended and located known male who had left the store prior to arrival. Male agreed not to return.
5:21 pm – Brazeau County – Report received of funnel clouds. Complainant concerned they had touched down north of town. Patrols made for any damage in area. None found.
5:47 pm – Drayton valley – 49 Street – Request for member assistance while they gather belongings.
6:28 pm – Drayton Valley – Known vehicle was observed on a lease site. Members attended and truck located, driver and registered owner advised to stay off private property.
7:22 pm – Drayton Valley – 41A Avenue – complainant reporting they had returned from work and the front house window had been egged. Member attended. No suspects.
7:56 pm – Brazeau County – Report received of quadders in area are cutting fences on rural property. Quadders identified. One charged with mischief and operation of motor vehicle while prohibited.
8:10 pm – Brazeau County – Report received of a dispute between family members. Members attended and mediated situation.
9:54 pm – Brazeau County – Rr 80 – Report of an erratic driver received. Green Malibu and a Grey Golf were driving fast and stunting past the residence for the past two weeks. Member located one of the vehicles later near the Omniplex and conducted a traffic stop. Driver warned about their driving behaviour.
10:47 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – Request to assist EMS with a female. Members attended location, female had left on foot. Patrols made and female located, EMS transported to hospital.
July 8
3:26 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of a commercial alarm received. Members attended, false alarm.
9:44 am – Drayton Valley – 54 Street – Report received of business broken into. Deadbolt of the door had been pried and a bicycle had been left behind. Members attended, nothing stolen or missing.
11:03 am – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle failing to stop prior to entering intersection. Driver issued a violation ticket.
11:05 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of theft of hanging planters. Suspects had paid cash for groceries, however stole 3 hanging baskets while loading groceries.
11:58 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of a fraud received. Complainant stated they had received a phone call from a male who stated they had won 17 million from Readers Digest. Complainant was advised to deposit $399 into a bank account under another name at the TB bank. Complainant did withdraw the money and deposit it. Caller made several more attempts to get more money from the complainant
12:33 pm – Brazeau County – Rr 75 – Complainant reporting youth are riding dirt bikes up and down the street with no regard for traffic. No parents are supervising. Member attended and spoke with one of the parents. Warning issued.
3:19 pm – Parkland county – RR 75 – Report of a suspicious white Cadillac sedan parked at the end of a dead end road. Members spoke with the registered owner who advised they had taken a wrong turn.
3:22 pm – Drayton Valley – 48 Avenue – Complainant reporting someone shot at their vehicle resulting in the passenger window shattering. Member attended, no sign of any firearm being used. The window was broken.
3:28 pm – Drayton valley – 51 Avenue – Report of a suspicious male in the alcove of a business. Male is yelling. Member attended, male had left prior to arrival.
3:43 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of a shoplifter. Female with longer hair carrying a green bag and wearing black sweater, black pants and white shoes had took some items and left the store without paying.
4:25 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for speeding.
4:57 pm – Tomahawk – Ongoing issue between neighbours. Each calls on the other and reports trespassing etc.
5:46 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver was wanted on outstanding warrants.
7:03 pm – Drayton Valley – 49 Street – request for members to attend to keep the peace while an individual gathered their belongings. Members attended, no issues.
9:07 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol observed an individual driving while talking on their cell phone. Traffic stop initiated and driver issued a violation ticket.
9:54 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Commercial business alarm received. Member attended, no signs of break and enter, all doors secured. False alarm.
11:07 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 620 – Complainant reporting they were driving on Hwy 620 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
June 9
5:55 am – Brazeau County – Request for members to obtain car keys from family member. Complainant had originally given permission for family member to use their vehicle, then changed their mind. Members spoke with both parties involved and advised this was a civil matter.
1:18 pm – Brazeau County – Report received of a dispute. Yelling heard. Members attended, parties separated for the night. Ongoing issues.
2:32 pm – Drayton Valley – 56 Street – Request for members to attend location to remove unwanted male who is living in the wooded area behind their residence. Member attended and located known male. Male was looking for their bike and left when requested to.
3:25 pm – Drayton Valley – Report received of an individual who is breaching a court order which specifies them to drop children off at specific time and location. Member read court document and advised complainant to have the working revised.
4:59 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Request received from Calgary Police service to locate male wanted on a warrant. Members located male who was arrested.
6:58 pm – Drayton Valley – WalMart – Report received of a hot dog in a vehicle. Dog was in the vehicle for 20 minutes with the windows down. Members attended and observed that the dog had water in the back, owner advised they had been at the dog park previously.
7:31 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Report of an erratic driver in a white Buick sedan. Vehicle is swerving all over the road. Vehicle located, mechanical issues with vehicle. Driver advised not to drive vehicle until fixed.
7:31 pm – Drayton valley – 45 Avenue – Report of 3 large trucks stunting all day. Male drivers are approximately 20 years old. Members attended the area, no large trucks located. Patrols in area were negative.
8:04 pm – Drayton valley – 45 avenue – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing a vehicle fail to stop prior to entering intersection. Driver issued a violation ticket.
8:13 pm – Drayton valley – 52 Avenue – Report received of a theft of a cell phone at the Derrick Lounge VLTS. Phone had been left unattended at machine. Phone recovered shortly after. Known male was spoken to, complainant did not wish to pursue charges.
8:59 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Request for members to attend location as complainant is concerned for the welfare of a young child who is walking alone. Members attended, 3 adults were in the location and had been watching the child, no issues.
10:00 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report received of a male walking on the highway. Members attended and located male who was warned about the dangers of walking on the side of the road. Courtesy ride provided.
11:59 pm – Brazeau county – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no insurance.
June 10
2:10 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of a fight in progress, 4-5 people are arguing and yelling. Members attended, parties had left in a dark grey Dodge 2500 prior to police arrival. Patrols made, vehicle not located.
8:47 am – Brazeau County – Hwy 621 – Report of escaped longhorn bulls sometime overnight. Bulls located nearby.
9:12 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Report of someone sleeping in their vehicle at the Lions Park. Members attended, the vehicle was gone upon arrival.
12:23 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Report received of a possible impaired driver in a white 2 door sedan with a Saskatchewan marker. Vehicle is swerving in and out of the lane and nearly hit the ditch. Patrols in area made with negative results. Evansburg detachment notified.
3:01 pm – Brazeau County – Report received of a possible impaired driver on Hwy 620. The vehicle was swerving all over the road and speeding up and slowing down. Members attended and located vehicle, traffic stop initiated. Driver not impaired, advised to pay more attention to the road when driving.
4:11 pm – Drayton valley – 41 Avenue – 911 hang up received. Only static heard. Ongoing issue with nearby Telus tower.
5:48 pm – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting a family dispute. Members attended, argument over tools.
7:39 pm – Drayton valley – 50 Avenue – Request to conduct a wellbeing check on individual who has not been heard from over the past two days. Member attended, individual had returned home from Edmonton.
7:51 pm – Drayton Valley – 47 Avenue – Report received of a theft of cell phone and assault. Member facilitated exchange of belongings for both parties.
10:20 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Street – Report of a disturbance in the field near the High School. Male yelling. Member attended and completed patrols in the area, male not located. No others in the area.
July 11
8:32 am – Drayton Valley- 50 Avenue – Report received of a damaged window at the Shale medical Clinic. Male had entered the clinic wanting a prescription refilled. When advised they were unable to refill the prescription, the man got angry and left throwing rocks at the window.
8:55 am – Drayton Valley – 54 Street – Report received of a break and enter to a shed overnight. Individual was observed there and just left. Door had been pried open. Members attended and were advised that the owner observed a bicycle in their shed and that the door had been tampered with. When the complainant checked inside there was a male sleeping. Member was able to identify suspect. Male is still outstanding and will be charged with break and enter.
9:52 am – Brazeau county – Report received of keys locked in vehicle at campground. Caller advised they cannot afford a tow truck. Member attended and attempted to gain entry. Tow truck called to assist.
10:46 am – Drayton Valley – 47A Avenue – Complainant reporting a break and enter to garage sometime within the past week. Approximately $1000 tools stolen.
10:55 AM – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Report of an unwanted male at the ATB vestibule. Members attended, male had left prior to arrival.
12:30 pm – Tomahawk – Ongoing issue between neighbours. Numerous calls have been received regarding ongoing disputes. Member attended and this time they were arguing about the fence line. Both parties advised to leave each other alone.
12:40 pm – Drayton Valley – WalMart – Report of a shoplifter received. Approximately $115 worth of jewellery and clothing stolen. Matter is still under investigation.
1:20 pm – Drayton Valley – 48 Street – Report received of an unwanted individual in the garage of a rental property. House is vacant. Member attended and observed signs of forced entry and signs of living. Individual was not there when members were there. Matter is still under investigation.
2:52 pm – Drayton Valley – 52 Street – 911 open line, caller is stating there are guns and knives. Members attended, one male arrested on outstanding warrants. No firearms or knives.
3:51 pm – Brazeau County – Report of a suspicious vehicle on property. Gate is locked. Complainant spoke with driver who was driving a red Dodge truck. Nothing stolen or missing from property, however sea cans appeared to have been opened.
5:33 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Report of a possible impaired driver in a blue Ford F150. Vehicle is swerving into oncoming traffic and varying speed. Member patrolled the area and located the truck which turned west onto a township road. Members were unable to follow vehicle. Possibly a stolen vehicle from Whitecourt.
5:58 pm – Brazeau County – Rr 81 – Report of a suspicious vehicle. Blue Ford Truck came into complainants yard, 2 males jumped out and switched positions in vehicle then took off.
6:52 pm – Brazeau County – Report received of a 2 vehicle collisions. A semi truck pulled into the COOP gas station and the attached trailer clipped the complainant’s bumper causing damage. No Injuries.
7:41 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 620 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for speeding.
8:48 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of a female who appeared to be passed out. Female is laying under sign. Members attended and advised female to move along.
9:10 pm – Brazeau County – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no registration.
9:19 PM – Drayton valley – 50 Avenue – Stolen vehicle located by members on patrol, male occupants upon seeing police returned to the vehicle and drove off at a high rate of speed. Numerous 911 calls received as a result of vehicle speeding through town.
9:22 pm – Drayton valley – 55 Avenue – 911 call regarding a transformer outage. Caller advised they heard a loud bang and then the power went out. Power came on approximately 15 minutes later.
11:06 pm – Drayton Valley – Report of receipt of odd text messages. Request to conduct a wellbeing check. Members attended, individual was fine.
11:42 pm – Drayton valley – 50 Street – Member on patrol observed a vehicle pull out with no headlights on. Member conducted a traffic stop. Drive is a GDL driver which stipulates 0 alcohol. Results of MAS showed alcohol in system. Driver suspended for 30 days and vehicle impounded for 7 days.
July 12
12:13 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of a disturbance at the Eldorado School. Someone was throwing trash around. Member attended and located known female who was subsequently arrested on outstanding warrants.
12:15 am – Drayton Valley – 49 Avenue – Noise complaint received. Barking Dog, has been barking all day. Member attended area, no dogs heard.
6:20 am – Drayton Valley – Industrial Road – Request to assist Fire with a vehicle fire. Fire was put out prior to any further damage to building.
7:19 AM – Brazeau County – Report of trespassing and damage to property. Suspects are camping on private property and took their quads onto the complainant’s property and caused damage to the complainant’s field. Members attended and spoke with campers.
8:45 am – Drayton Valley – 47 Street – Caller reporting concerns about the homeless individuals coming into the building during the night. Member explained that they can be referred to the shelter pods.
8:57 am – Brazeau County – Report received of an abandoned truck on a dead end road. Vehicle was a Grey Dodge Ram. Vehicle had not yet been reported stolen. Member contacted the Registered Owner who was not aware the vehicle had been stolen overnight. Vehicle towed.
9:48 am – Brazeau County – Rr 73 – Residential panic alarm received. Member contacted the property rep who advised that their flood alarm had gone off and they had hit the panic alarm in error. Member attended, no issues.
9:55 am – Brazeau County – Complainant reporting that they were travelling on Hwy 753 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
12:12 pm – Drayton Valley – 53 Avenue – Report received of an individual walking with a rifle outside an apartment building where individuals are being evicted. Members attended and located two suspects, male and female, both known to police. Firearm seized, firearm was not a rifle but a pellet gun. Search upon arrest of female located brass knuckles. Female charged with weapon for a dangerous purpose. Firearm was never used in a threatening manner.
12:49 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Report received of a suspicious person checking door handles of vehicles. Members attended and located known female who was arrested for being intoxicated in public. Held and released when sober.
1:12 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 753 – Complainant was travelling south on Hwy 753 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
1:54 pm – Tomahawk – Request for members to serve a summons on individual. Member attended and served individual as requested.
3:20 pm – Drayton Valley – Beckett road – Complainant called to report aggressive dogs that got out of owners property. Complainant called bylaw and was told to contact police. Dogs returned home shortly after, no further issues.
3:53 pm – Tomahawk – Report of vandalism overnight. Neighbour dispute, ongoing issue. Argument is about a fence being put up. Members attended once again and spoke with complainant who vented about the property line and their issues with their neighbours. Both sides continually call the police to complain about each other. Member spoke with both parties and advised them both to avoid any further confrontation. Civil matter.
4:15 pm – Drayton valley – 52 Street – Known female called to report unwanted persons taking their belongings. Member attended and spoke with individual who was advised that no one is supposed to be at the residence as per Health Department order.
5:00 pm – Brazeau County – Report received of trespassing/break and enter in progress. Individual is on the property and may have broken the locks. Bank has taken control of the property. Members attended and located individual who was gathering some belongings from the yard, no locks broken, no break and enter.
7:15 pm – Parkland County – Rr 73 – Report of a break and enter to a residence. Occurred sometime over the past week. Residence has been gone through. Food and other items stolen.
11:46 pm – Brazeau county – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for speeding.
11:47 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for speeding.
11:52 pm – Drayton Valley – 43 Avenue – 911 abandoned call. Member called number back numerous times and was able to reach a male. Member attended residence associated with phone number and was advised that the male had moved, member attended new location, male had accidentally called 911, everything was fine, no issues.
July 13
1:28 am – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report of youth on top of a local business. Members attended, youth were gone upon arrival, patrols made in the area, no one matching the descriptions located.
8:07 AM – Brazeau County – Hwy 753 – Complainant was driving south on Hwy 753 when a deer came out of the ditch and collided with their vehicle.
10:43 am – Drayton Valley – 54 Street – Report received of a female acting erratically. Members attended and located known female. Female was arrested and held until sober.
11:22 am – Drayton Valley – 45 Street – Report received of damage to vehicle. Complainant stated that they had heard voices in the back alley followed by a loud bang in the early morning. Later on when they were going to their vehicle they noted their back window broken.
11:34 am – Brazeau County – Report received of a break and enter to a garage. 2016 John Deer Gator stolen. Member attended.
12:23 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Avenue – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Vehicle towed and several violation tickets issued to driver.
3:56 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop after observing the driver talking on their cell phone. Driver issued a violation ticket.
3:57 pm – Drayton Valley – 51 Avenue – Report received of a disturbance. Known male is yelling and acting aggressive, broke a window. Member attended, male had left prior to arrival. Charges pending.
7:22 pm – Brazeau County – Hwy 22 – Member on patrol conducted a traffic stop. Driver issued a violation ticket for no insurance.
8:22 pm – Drayton valley – 49 Street – Report received of known female walking in and out of traffic. Member attended and located female who was arrested for public intoxication.
11:29 pm – Drayton Valley – 50 Street – Report received of a panic alarm at local gas station. Member attended, no issues, false alarm.
